Last year, I entered into a credit agreement for household items. I paid £1000 deposit on a £2500 purchase. Since then, divorce proceedings have been ongoing, and we are almost there...however, I need to know if he can lawfully remove this furniture from the house (which I have bought off him). I pay the remaining owing balance from my own bank account (we never had joint) and I paid the original balance from same account. I have asked him not to remove the item, however, will I able to report the removal as theft to the police, or will they not get involved and treat it as a domestic...?
I would appreciate anyone's help on this one...

After 5 hours of sales sharks at me I finally gave in and signed a CONTRACT for this Time Share. I asked the guy if we come into hard times and cant pay the bill can we just loose our time share and not worry about payment. He said yes the $1,100.00 Dollar deposit you put down is incase you use your points on your time share than later you wish to no longer have it you have paid us for the time used.

Well, when I called and said we couldn't afford it they told us iwe were resposible for the $20,000 thousand dollars and if we didn't pay it would go on our credit.

The sales Shark Lied to US. I know we signed the 100 page contract and I should of paid closer attention. We signed the contract at Midnight and I was so tired I screwed up. There really is no good excuse for my dumbass screw up. I

s there anything we can do?

3 years ago I purchased an item of furniture from a high street retailer on 12 months interest free credit. After several problems with the item they replaced it and I had to set up a new HP agreement (due to the delay in resolution).

Now I've had this item for 2 years now and they haven't taken any money. It is however sitting on my credit reference as a open account.

Now I plan to just do nothing for now as I prefer the money in my account rather than a credit company, but does anyone know if I can get out of paying it altogether or is there a point where thay can't persue payments?

Does anyone know the current laws and banking regulations regading this matter:
I have a question regarding proper merchant policy when accepting a card. Years ago merchants would slide a customer's card, then check to see if the signature on the receipt and the signature on the back of the card matched. This, to my understanding, is why cards read "not valid until signed." Recently merchants have been asking for my driver's license match the printed name on the ID and the stamped name on the credit/debit card. What is the current law. I'm not looking for speculation or what people think is best. Only written law, thank you.

I had enquired to them about debt settlement and they said because of their long-standing relationship with credit card companies, they were able to settle my debt for $.40 on the dollar. I just wanted to know if they were a legit company and if anyone had heard anything about them before.

I owe more than 50,000. and my husband doesn't know about it. How can I lower my debt? He's planning on "us" borrowing money, but who will lend us the money since I owe tooooo much. Please help me, can't sleep anymore. I've spoken with credit counseling, and debt management. They both tell me they can help but will make my credit report worse. Should I just cut up most of my credit cards? I really don't know what to do anymore.

Here's the situation.

I have a credit card debt with Bank of America. The account was sent to NCO financial systems. I sent them a payment on the debt only to have it returned to me. I was then notified that the account had been sent to a new creditor.

The new creditor was NES Enterprise systems. I got their information and proceeded to make a payment to them on my debt. It hadn't even been two months before I found out that NES had closed my account and rejected the payment. Confused, I called and asked about the status of my account.

They told me that the account was closed and had been returned to the original client (Bank of America).

During all this bouncing around the debt has incurred more fees and interest - all while I was TRYING to make payments only to get rejected.

Is there ANYTHING I can do about this? They've refused payment twice now and how am I supposed to keep up with them when they keep moving my account??

Is this against the law?

We have a loan that is a little over $28,000 and about5 $9,000 on credit cards. We wanted to do one of those credit counseling services but I think they only help you if you are in major credit card debt and are interest rates on our credit cards are zero percent. What should I do?

Recently found out I have an *** ult on my record, I have never assaulted anyone??
I went to the court house to get it resolved. Found out the date of the assult, and although I can not get anymore details until I am in court, I have a sneaking suspicion due to the date that it was a crazy landlord I had a few years ago. I had to call the police on her several times for coming into my residence without my permission, I beleive she did this as a retalitaion...among other things like calling animal control and saying that I abused my dog!! I love my dog and when animal control came they say know abuse only how much I love my dog. The court house said there was no arest with the assult, how can I have this on my record and not of talked to any law inforcment regarding it? What can I do? I can not afford an attorney
