I'm told the courts can take back any loans repaid to family or friends within 2 years of bankruptcy filing. My Aunt says it's too bad the courts took this money but she says all her debts are forgiven in the bankruptcy and will not repay the money- I'm out-$20,000. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this money back? Beware this bankruptcy rip off.

My husband co-signed a car loan for my brother 2 years ago. My brother worked for my husband, until recently when my husband was forced to fire my brother, as he stopped showing up for work.

My brother stopped paying his car payments. As the co-signer, my husband started receiving calls from the car credit company. We have now paid 3 monthly payments so that our credit will not be damaged. My brother has let the insurance and registration go on this car as well. For now the car is parked in a garage and is not being driven. The car has an outstanding balance of $10K.

I have 3 specific questions:

Is there anyway for us to get off this loan?

Is it possible for us to sell the car and pay off the loan?

Is it possible for my brother to use the car as a trade in for something else (of which we would OF COURSE not co-sign on!) so that we can be out of this situation entirely?

I am planning to get a house and I need a specific credit score or better to be able to give the monthly dues I can afford. Unfortunately, my move in date is on the second week of February. So I that is why I am hoping the credit bureau will include that on my credit report within 30 days not 60, that is the reason why I did that thing in joining on to a person's credit card to boost my credit. Comments....please...please reply!! I appreciate it!

Yeah this person added me about 2 weeks ago, and I called the credit card company and they said they report to the credit bureau at the end of each month, but I have heard that it taked the credit bureau to report it to my credit repot 30 to 60 days! And 30 days is fine but 60 days is a little too late for me! But it's usually 30 days?

My wife became pregnant unexpectedly, and had to go on bed rest. We were doing fine financially until then, but once she had to stop working, we lost a lot of income. I got behind on our bills, and had to use credit cards to pay the essentials. Now I have over 400 a month in minimum monthly payments alone, not including mortage payments. I want to ask my aunt to loan us a considerable amount of cash to pay off our credit card debt over a 4 year period. How should I ask her, or should I ask at all?

When I called them to complain they claimed the payment had now been received but due to the christmas post and the days the bank was closed over the festive period that my payment had been delayed in being proccessed. Surely I should not have to pay the late payment fee when it was sent on time and it is not really my fault my cheque had got caught up in there system due to them being closed over christmas and new year period.
