Credit - January 2007

I am a college student working on campus. I file my taxes every year. But my credit report contains no information about my employment history. Does anyone know why that is? How can I make my employment history to appear on my credit report?

Does paying my Cingular contract phone bill builds up credit history? Does my Cingular phone account act as a account in my credit history too? I have 3 credit accounts in excellent condition and i was wondering if getting contract phone and paying it on time would make it better.

Today I saw all the books I need for my class this semester. If I buy all new books its going to cost $341.55, while if I buy used its only $256.75. A savings of $84.25.

Now at my school, I receive a book check worth 350. If I use it on all new books I'll only have about 9 dollars left over after it. I'm think of using my credit card to buy all the used books and then use the 350 book check ot pay the credit card bill off. I would save around 93 dollars out of the book check, after the bill is paid.

So What do you think?

My friend used his parents name to apply for several credit card without their consents, and he used over $15000 total. However his parents refused to pay for his cards, but they don't want to report him either. Therefore they told the credit card company that they did not apply for those card and they can prove it. Those payment are due in the next few month, and my friend plan to flee the country and never come back. He already arranged his flight in the next few week. I was wondering if there's any international law against this action? or the credit card company have any authority to sue his parents? Last time I heard, he was planing to flee to some south eastern asian country. He was borned there, so he can easily reside in that country without any problem.

I buy three things with my credit card it s a hsbc bank credit card my bill is 6150 i add it up. I want to know how long would it take for them to send you that bill i use it last month around the 3 week of december. my friend say that i should call them and tell them that i didn t received the bill or else they will add interest on it and probably mess up my credit i thought that they will send you the bill that y am not worry about it. should i worry or not.

I got a credit card offer in the mail from Master Card saying I can get 0% APR on all transfered balances for 15 months. I want to transfer 2 credit card balances on this card. Are there any secrets I dont' know or fees that I'm not aware of. Because to my understanding, that means I'll have a flat balance with no interest on it, so I just pay on the balance, no interest. Is that right?

I have my credit card number and routing number stored on my ebay seller financial info, but how can i retrieve that number?
If i hit edit, it clears everything and i cannot retrieve anything.
I have misplaced my credit card for right now and i would like to know if anyone knows how i can retrieve it becasue it says card number XXXXXXXXXXXXX and it wont let me see it

I am in Singapore. This is equivalent to my 1 year's pay. Document can be shown to substantiate my annual pay, and monthly pay. My credit history is perfect. I always pay my 6 credit card bills promptly and in full. I don't have credit debt. I don't have a car. I have very little assets. I live very simply. I need S$30,000 for a business venture started with friends. What is your interest rate? What is the monthly rest.? This is ULTRA-URGENT!!! I need it for the cashflow by 25th JAN 2007 LATEST!! Don't ask me to go to banks, I can't secure S$30,000 from banks. By now you should know what I am looking for. If your offer is reasonable, and my business can be sustained and I can repay you, then it would be good news for me! Otherwise..... :-(

Ok... Here it goes... We live in Indiana, and are filing bankrupty and letting the house go because we can't afford it because my husband lost his highpaying job due to an injury...so we are downsizing and getting an apartment. Anyways, my mother in law told me that since we are filing bankruptcy in the winter time, we are required by law to keep the utilities on to keep the pipes from freezing.. Is that true or is she nuts?

Im really new at this whole building credit thing. I Just got a credit card with Bank Of America and I have been paying it off as soon as the balance is posted. If not then I pay it off that week, becuase I'm almost anal about it. I don't buy anything unless I know I have the money. I am trying to build credit the best I can so I can get a car. Am I doing everything right? Should I wait untill I get a statement to pay it off or should I keep doing what I'm doing and pay it off as soon as possible?

she signed off on the term life insurance and owes 6000 on the truck. i can go in and pay it off but i want to make sure there isnt some way i can get it cheaper or written off. she lived in illinois and she died 2 years ago. the bank hasnt had a payment since and hasnt tried to repo it either... i am a bit suspitious about that. I recieved a letter from a credit card company i've been with for some time stating that "due to information recieved on my credit report" they were hiking my interest rate. I haven't paid late at all on this card and nothing has changed that I know of on my credit report. Is it even legal for them to do this and is there a way to fight it????

I did not pay through Paypal. I already filed a dispute (the seller is not answering) and I have already contacted ebay but they aren't doing anything. It has been exactly 30 days since the purchase.

Will calling the credit card company help? According to Ebay, "Most companies provide 100% online protection." Is this true for Mastercard? PLEASE help. I paid over 100 dollars.
