Did you even apply for one? If it was approved you will soon be receiving it in the mail. Credit card companies really want your business and will grant credit to all but the worst credit risk.

I should caution you to read CAREFULLY all of the fine print in the agreement before you use it. Some cards start with a teaser low interest rate that balloons up to a ridiculous amount after a set number of months. You are lulled into thinking it will stay that way and suddenly you'll find that all but a tiny fraction of your payments goes toward interest fees. For example; a payment of $78 could have only $12 applied to the principle and the rest applied to interest.. Some cards deduct service fees the first time you use it, that far exceed your purchase. This fee is charged without you realizing it until you get the statement but because you signed the agreement, you have to pay it.

Now on the other hand you made not If you have no credit at all. Signing up and paying your Interest every month builds your credit. When your score starts to rise the better your credit will become.
