If I decide to leave my company and not give two weeks notice, but just say one week is that wrong? Frankly, I dont think my company did right by me so I dont think they deserve two weeks notice. However, just to keep the peace I was thinking about one week notice. What do you think?

My friend and co-worker has a boss who's an absolute jerk. my desk is next to hers and her boss will come to her desk every now and again and talk to her like she's an idiot (she's very bright) or is no older than 5. I've overheard and other coworkers have overheard him do these things on several different occasions. My friend doesn't want to go to another manager in the company and complain, but me and a few other coworkers do. Should we? What should we do in the alternative? We all think he doesn't realize he acts this way and he's very irrational, so it's hard to tell him otherwise. He also talks to the other managers in the company in a similar way. I really don't want my friend to quit because of him!!!

My company managers advertised a job externally without telling anyone and without offering it internally. It would have simply been a promotion for a few of us, and we are all qualified and able to do the job.

I recently graduated H.S. & decided to find a part-time job. Needless to say I was quite desperate and was applying everywhere, I quit my last job because I moved away. Bank jobs called me back for interview after interview but there was no 3rd call. =( So I accepted a job at a very large company working in their food court for $11.00/hr. It is very excellent pay considering all my past jobs were $7.40/hr. But I am soo embarrassed of what they have had me doing, they don't allow me to handle cash until 3 months (now it is a probationary period), so instead I just wipe down tables, sweep/mop floors, change their huge trash bins, help grab orders, and roll hot dogs and do a bunch of other stuff. The only thing i hate is being out in the food court/lobby picking up people's trash, People look at me, although some say GOOD JOB and YOU WORK TOO HARD. but I seen a family that are related by marriage to me and I was so embarrassed I put my head down. What do you think??

I'm 23 years old and thinking about enrolling in a 2 year nursing program. I currently have a bachelor's degree in liberal arts.

I also thought about going to grad school, to be a teacher.

I really want to have a family someday. I want to be able to have lots of quality time with my children. I want to have holidays off and the ability to go to my children's functions on weekends and such.

I know teaching is a great career, if you want a family.. But what about nursing?

What are some pros and cons?

I was just wondering for research purposes.

For example, would you hire an unattractive, less qualified applicant as opposed to the more qualified pretty applicant?

No beating around the bush! I want honest serious answers!

Women only please.

I never have any questions to ask at the time of an interview because it seems all the ones I think of are already answered. I am interviewing with a employment agency and this is my first time working with one. Can anyone give me any questions to ask? or important things I should ask. My Rundown:

I am a recent college graduate with a BA in Communications

I am looking for work as an admin. assistant or Perferably Human Resources.

How do these agencies work and how should I conduct my self at the interview? Please help with sincere answers! Thank you in advance!

I am dissatisfied with my job duties, the commute, etc. and would very much like to switch to another job; however considering that employers don't consider a job resume-worthy in the long run until you hit the 6 month- or 1 year-mark, should I stay or go? It's almost three months now, and I have it on my resume temporarily, for job-seeking. However, I won't be able to credit it to myself if I quit now in the long run, right? Plus, wouldn't it be bad for my employment record or would it be "nothing"?

When you fill out a job application, there is usually a section where you list all the places where you have worked, and sometimes there will be a section where you list reference contact information (or sometimes they will wait until after the interview before asking for your references). Why do people use these two terms to mean the same thing? Or is listing a company under work history the same thing as listing your supervisor as a reference?

I have worked for the same company that I do now that I've become an RN. My question is if after I gave my company proof that I had my RN license, are they supposed to immeadiatly accept that and start giving me the RN pay? (If this is confusing, what has happened is that they continue to put me on the schedule as an LVN and give me LVN pay). They are the ones who wanted me to con't working for them as an RN...Please help, as I think they are taking advantage of me.
