How do I make a really boring job more interesting?

By digging into it and learning as much as you can. Expand your horizens and learn more about the peripheral aspects of it, other jobs or parts of the job that directly affect your job. It will also put you in place for a promotion.

It all depends what it is you are doing. If you are a flagger for road construction - dance to your music!
If you are a store clerk - clean, dust, straighten - anything to keep moving.
Is it a filing job? Do it the best you are able and keep looking for a promotion or transfer up.
If it is something that does not need you full attention - listen to books on tape.

As any boss or owner knows - "If you have time to lean you have time to clean".

ask for a raise ;) j/k anyways you can make it more interesting if you go online and do some money to make you happy. not much but will pay your bills
