I sustained a work injury a few months ago, I am almost medically cleared to go back to work. I do not want to go back to work because of it. I finish college in one month. I want to move out of my house to a bigger city. I also want to travel to Japan. Exactly how do I handle myself here, more likely..how would you?

You need to find out what your companies rules are on compensation.

If you received pay during your Leave of absence, which I'm guessing you did, some companies require you to work for a specified amount of time upon your return (anywhere from 2 weeks, to the time equal to what you took off) , or you have to pay them back.

1. Go back to work once you'e fully recovered. If you want to travel to Japan you'll need a lot of money. Things are very expensive in Japan, very expensive indeed.

2. Finish your college studies before moving or travelling.

3. If you don't have a passport, begin the process for getting one now. It takes awhile because there's a big backlog.

4. Start making plans for your visit to Japan. How much money will you realistically need? Where will you stay? Where will you eat? How will you get around?

5. Don't move until you've taken that wonderful holiday in Japan. Moving during the passport-procurement process can cause delays because of address changes.

Are you getting a Bachelors or higher? There is a program to go to Japan and teach English - they help with the move & costs ... You commit to a year, but that's not so bad!

Good luck!
