I was making 13 dollars an hour.....My boss gave me a 2 dollar raise so that put me at 15 an hour and took it back.... Because her now husband found out and got mad he is the CEO of the company... And so she took it back and is taking out of my pay... so it adds up to 800 dollars... is that legal?

I want to quit and not give two weeks…. Just walk out the door… I want 2 cry that’s mess up! but i have bills due

I'm not so sure that it is legal but I'm sure if you called the labor board they could help you out. If they say that it is not legal then I would probably try and get restitution for the back pay that I am owed. I realize that you are in a difficult position and that you probably don't like your employer (CEO) very much at this time, but quitting without notice could have some repercussions for future employment with another company. I would post my resume on line and see if I get any hits. I would also send my resume to different companies that might be hiring. At 15.00 an hour you must have a pretty good background and work experience. I'm sure that someone out there could use your talents. I have always believed that I don't quit a job unless I have a job. Good luck with your future endeavors.

If they gave you a raise, and then rescinded it no they cannot take back the amount they paid you during the raises duration. Contact the NCLRB to get this corrected.
