I am dissatisfied with my job duties, the commute, etc. and would very much like to switch to another job; however considering that employers don't consider a job resume-worthy in the long run until you hit the 6 month- or 1 year-mark, should I stay or go? It's almost three months now, and I have it on my resume temporarily, for job-seeking. However, I won't be able to credit it to myself if I quit now in the long run, right? Plus, wouldn't it be bad for my employment record or would it be "nothing"?

DO not quit then you are without employment which looks worse. If you get an interview it is better to say the present position is not what you thought it would be and does not fully utilize your skills, experience, and education

Well it doesn't look good on your resume. Is this the only job on your resume?? If not, put your resume out there and if someone is interested in you they will call and you can explain during the interview process. Don't quit until you have something else.....please.

I would start looking but look for that "perfect" job and then by the time you find it and then make the move it will have been long enough to not be a big deal .

Good Luck!
