It depends on whether or not you could maintain your lifestyle if you left your job or not.
If you like having a good income and the security it provides then You are probably stuck until you find something else that pays that well.
But then, you might value being happy at work more than you like a good income.
Either way, keep in mind that most people aren't crazy about their jobs.
I think Drew Carey said it best when he said, "Oh, you don't like your job? You know there is a support group for that, its called EVERYBODY, we meet at the bar."

It depends on your financial needs, age and what you REALLY WANT TO DO about it. If u NEED the money - ie: u live up to what you earn - you either grin and bear it, or find an equally-paying job elsewhere, then quit your current job. If you choose to change to a new profession/job - study at home - can do TAFE and Uni courses via flexible learning/correspondence etc these days. If you are prepared to take a pay cut you can go for other jobs in the same profession or elsewhere - obviously all depending on what u want and where u live. Or startup a homebased business - either fullon or earning residual income. Good luck.

Every time you think you hate your job put money into your retirement plan/escape fund. Every time you don't want to go to work remember that feeling when you want to spend money and save it instead. Review your investments each work day morning to see if you should turn in your resignation.
Once you don't need the job anymore it is much easier to stay on the job the worst they can do is fire you and you didn't like the job anyhow and can just retire the.
Even half way to the freedom date you will find the job easier to take. Think of the feeling knowing you can support yourself on your investments and maybe a burger flipper job or part time professional job. The company can fold and you don't even care.

there only two options: either your job is tolerable or intolerable. if it is tolerable, well you could stand it for the salary till you find a better job with the same profit. otherwise since your health is much more important, you may change your job even for less money. (I have done so once, my job was ruining my mental and then after some time my physical health so I simply quit it after a year. now I regret why I didn't give it up earlier!)

Think about what it is about your job you hate but if there are anythings you enjoy about it. The try to find a well paying job that does not include the aspects you hate but the ones you enjoy. Also, write your resume to not include any of the tasks you hate.

Which is more important to you? Personally, I would stick to my job because I can find ways of liking my job.

Start a hobby. Then try to make money from it. One day the money from that hobby will outgrow your current income.
