Okay. the application says to list down 4 employment records. I only have 1 employment record. What should I write on the other ones? Volunteering experiences or just write N/A? Which one is better?

Some people go to bed as soon as they get home in the morning.
Others stay up & then sleep from the evening until it is time to get up & go to work again.

Which one do you prefer??

I'm 21, I've been out of work since February. I signed up with a really trashy temp agency that never has any jobs. Yesterday(Wednesday) morning, I got a call from a man that said that he saw my resume on Monster.com and he wanted to hire me for a part-time job, and all I would have to do is email my resume. When I sent it to him, he wrote me back with more information, saying that he was from a temp agency, and they're looking for someone to work from 1PM-5PM, Mon-Fri, for $9 an hour. It's not a lot of money, and it's somewhere in the boondocks of Brooklyn. I'm really mad that the guy misled me into thinking that it was a permanent job, because I despise all temp agencies. I've had horrible experiences with them, and I can't be bothered.
The dilemma is that, my aunt also told me about a job that's permanent and pays a bit more, but I may not be able to start until 2 weeks from now. Should I even bother with the temp job, or should I pursue the permanent one??

I've resigned from my job before my anniversary date. My employer has told me I will owe her back money for vacation and sick time I've taken before my anniversary date.

My employment contract did state that all vacation/sick time is given on a yearly basis and if I quit before that year is up I will owe back the time.

There's no way around it---I'm given five days off the bat at the start of the year....no accrued time or percentages.....and it is to be used before the year is up or you lose it.

None of this seems legal to me? Wouldn't I be vested into these days by how much I have worked at the company? So I'm more then 6 months into my anniversary date - wouldn't I have at least earned part of my days.

I think that she will also say I owe her back money she's put into my insurance premium and HSA as well.

Can she actually ask me to write her a check for money owed? Can she take more then just my final paycheck?

Any help would be appreciated.

Minus any kind of sales or anything where I have to talk people into doing things they don't want to do or spend money they don't have.....also minus any ind of work that would require me to sit at a desk my entire day at work. I'm an eccentric guy with the need to branch out and try new things. I have GOBS of energy and the drive to succeed in anything I put my mind to. So what is it that i can do and become "wealthy" without wasting my life away closed up in a box? :)

I really hope I get this job. So I showered before I went and dressed nice. This is a factory position by the way. I showed up about 15 minutes early and I told the receptionist I had an inteview at 2:30 with Gary...... She sent me to his office. I introduced myself and he said he would be with me in a minute and to wait at the table outside his office. I sat down and looked around at the info about the company while I waited and he could see me but wasnt staring at me, he was on the phone and doin paper work or something. After 10 min, he called me in and said "Hi I'm Gary, of course" and I said "hi I'm Tina ..., nice to meet you" and a hand shake, then he said " have a seat" so i did. He asked me "what brings you here to apply for a job?" I said "I heard this was a great company to work for" He said "WHere did you here that at?" I said "Friends of mine who know people who work here". He asked me if I knew anyone who worked there and i said " I dont personally know anyone who works

My contract will end this Sunday (June 24). I have yet to get news form my company whether they'll renew my contract or not. Or maybe they're waiting for me to ask or something? I don't know.

So a friend of my mum's has a job offer (receptionist, to be exact), which is way below the job that I have right now (sub editor). And the pay is far less appealing.

Should I take the risk of turning down the receptionist post and continue with this editor job (despite not knowing about the contract renewal thing, but I will ask soon).

Problem is, my mum's friend wants an URGENT answer right now. Do you think I should call up my Chief Editor and ask him about the future of my career with them now, or do I say "yes" to the receptionist offer?

All views will be highly appreciated... thank you!!

I am having some major issues in my life right now. Just last week i scored a job that i thought was my dream job. ive been on the job for a week and a half now, and i have just realized i cant stand the boredom... i look at the clock every 5 to 10 minutes, i cannot express in words how slow the time goes every day.... there is so much material to learn for this particular career that it is overwhelming.... it isnt specific to my engineering degree.... but i thought the job would be more unique and more helpful in the future... my boss is EXTREMELY snippy and snobby about everything, and is beginning to make me his lackey, asking me to drive here and there to deliver drawings and whatnot... i get no appreciation for the things ive designed for him so far, and i am beginning to think that any type of engineering in general is not a career i could enjoy and stay interested in throughout my life. it is in fact depressing me greatly... should i quit this job? Please include much advice.

I want to stay in Phoenix, Arizona.

I graduated from the University of Arizona in December 2006. I have online accounts with Jobing, CareerBuilder, Monster, CollegeGrad, and Jobs. I have mailed my resumes, called people, and I have attended four job fairs.

I was initially looking for a job in design / marketing, as this applied to my degree. But I have expanded my search to any entry-level salary position.

I have nearly five years experience working in managerial accounting as a student employee. What am I doing wrong?

I got a new job and put my two weeks in. I have some annual leave to burn...should I take it now? I hate where I work and that's why I put my two weeks in. But does that make me look bad? I was ALWAYS there and covering for everyone. They were hardly there...I never complained. I was off since yesterday due to a bad ear infection and the flu. And they are complaining I'm never there!? Should I just not come back? I don't need them for references...I have used other people that helped me land this new job.
