When employers don't hire you for the reason you are overly qualified it is because they are afraid that you will not stick with the job and will leave soon after getting hire for a better job. What job(s) did you turn this resume into? Without this knowledge I would not know if you were over qualified or not.

I can't imagine how were overqualified since even a bank teller or call center representative could have that resume. I would get a good book on resume writing at the library or book store to get the shopping list format changed to one that is more aggressive and action oriented towards accomplishments. I just don't see any personality or passion in there....it is totally missing your value to an employer, asking "Why should we hire her?".

Since we can't see the dates you worked, did you change jobs often? Are you using a cover letter? What jobs are you applying for? There may be another issue in play.

Sometimes they may use a standard form letter "We will keep your application on file but we have found other candidates who better meet our requirements".

No, i do no longer think of you're being unreasonable. i discover it previous pathetic that somebody might use the loss of life of a kin member as an excuse to proselytize their faith. It does not ought to end with one obituary, nevertheless. the acquaintances and kin who DID understand the guy ought to write something extra precise. On a edge observe, I hate the thought that my newspaper obituary will probable basically point out my college tiers and what I do for a residing. there is a lot extra to my life than that.

That company must be looking for someone who they can screw over. If they say you're over qualified, they have to state why you are, but it seems like it's not worth asking so you're better off elsewhere.
