Ok. I'm towards the end of my senior year and I FINALLY talked my mom into letting me start working. I'm 16 turning 17 sunday so now I have a GREATER chance of finding jobs. I'm going to go to the mall in half an hour to go job searching by myself. How do I go about it? I have no work experience and mainly want to have a job in a clothing store. I don't care about the pay I just want to be able to have a job in the mall. Do I have to dress professional just to go looking for a job? What do I say to them when I ask if they're hiring or not, and if they are, can I fill out an application. HELP! I'm only looking to see if they're hiring and I'm already running scared....PLUS I'm going by myself.

Remember? From High school, you could look up whatever it was you wanted to be and it would advise you on whether the demand would increase or decrease and what the average pay was, etc, etc?

Okay, let me try to explain the situation. I am relatively new at my job (I've only been here 3 months). We had an internet tool come in. I asked one of my coworkers, who was recently promoted to a senior level position, if we needed to check it. She told me no. This happened a few days ago. Suddenly today she's totally freaking out that it was never checked and worried that the boss is going to yell. I like my coworker. She is a work friend. But...if the boss does catch wind of this (which she most likely will) do I cover my own butt and tell my boss that I had asked my coworker about it and was told not to worry about it. Or...do I take the heat along with my coworker to protect my friendship (she is my only work friend here).

Thanks in advance!

My Father is looking into buying about 15-20 apartments. He would like for me to get an education in order to become a large part of running the complex. It's an investing opportunity, and my father honestly doesn't know anything about it himself, so he's basically counting on me to do it all. I am very interested though.

Hi, I'm 19 and I just need a part time job. I'm willing for most kind of jobs available for me (besides fastfood like McDonalds) but I'd rather not have to drive around town. Is there a place where there are organized lists for jobs?

I was working at another job for 3 yrs prior to leaving. I left the other comp because I didn’t like the new person they hired that I had to work for and I was underpaid. Now, after being here 1 month I dont think I like this job. They didn’t tell me when I was interviewing that I would only be doing one type of law. It is the same thing over and over again, basically all form work. I am used to much more complex cases and a variety of subjects. My boss has a strange personality. I cant even explain it,I guess you would say bland . He always seems like he is criticizing and over explains things. I don’t know what to do. Part of me thinks it is just the stress of getting a new job and that it is making me overly sensitive to everything. I miss my old co-workers. I am constantly worrying that I will do something wrong. I’m wondering if these are normal feelings for someone who just started a new job and how long I should give it before looking for another. And, if I do look for another wont this look bad on my resume? What would be my excuse for leaving a job so early? I don’t know what to do!! Does anyone have any suggestions or words of wisdom? Anyone even had these issues? What did you do?

I was laid off from my full time job and qualified for unemployment. Now I just got a part time job, and it will more than likely lead into full time, and its for a wonderful company that Im sure will have allot of opportunities for me in the future. But I wont be able to get by on that job alone, and so I was wondering if now my unemployment checks will stop?

I've been tasked with creating a team-building program to help boost company moral and team spirit. Thus far, I was thinking of hosting a Mazola party. Basically, it would involve a large, padded room with plastic sheeting on the floor. Everyone gets naked and oils themselves down with Mazola, or some other type of oil, then start running around and trying to catch the one they want to boink.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

My husband had an interview last week. I think there were 3 candidates. The evening of his interview, the company called him and said they wanted to see him for more questions. They asked additional questions, did a test, and told him they'd call early this week. Monday he got a message from the woman who interviewed him, and when they finally were able to get in touch with each other, she told him she had sent his paperwork to HR and was waiting on a background check. She never actually *said* he had the job, but she told him she would call as soon as she heard back from HR. That was a couple of days ago. She even told him she would be in town Wednesday-Friday. (Today is Thurs., and the company's HQ isn't local.) We thought that since she called him and told him she had sent his paperwork off, etc. etc., that meant he had the job. But we haven't heard back from her. What do y'all think? Should he call her back?

Any thoughts appreciated!
