My friend was hired at burger king as a "team member." it been a month now since she began work. She has filled all paper work out such as w4 forms, ssn forms, handbook verficiation form. Now, she is waiting on a work shirt. Without the shirt she can't work. She has called at least 2 twice a week for her shirt now it been a month and a week. Do anyone know what the deal is? Or, what she can do? I think she shouldn't look for another job because it more closer to her home besides, it hard to find a job opening in our area. Do anyone know what the deal with Burger King should be? She don't know any manager above the store manager, and don't know how to get into with any above the store manager. What should she do? Or what could the deal be? Or who can she contact about this matter?

I'm just been offered a new job with a bank, but need to ask for a week off in late april for a planned vacation that I have already paid for. Do you think that the employer will let me off this early ( I wouldn't be asking for paid time off)?

Right now I am 16 and trying to get a part-time job for experience. After I finish the school, I am going to find any full-time job (say 40 hours a week) and move out. I will be getting about $1200 per month. So I'd like to ask you what other expected and unexpected expenses I may face. And how much spare money I will have, if any.
PS: I won't really need to spend any money on enterteinment and stuff like that regularly. The only thing I will need is a computer and internet (I am really into videogames)

This is a company that i want to work for. I have had two long interviews with them and it seems like a great place to work. this test is to determine if I am better suited to a sales position or a sales manager position. The test should take an hour, involves strange questions and a handwriting sample. the test will be mailed in and evaluated by a proffessional.

My current Job of 7 months. it's too early, too far, too many hours no over time pay. The commission sucks. It's also information technology sales. 300,000 products and services for corporations not consumers. I am not an IT/IS/MIS person. The training is geared twards IT/IS/MIS people not sales people. At my interview that I told them I was not IT savy, they told me the training would take care of that. It didn't. I haven't met my monthly goals. My previous jobs I did meet them and was a supervisor but there was a massive lay off

Not sure what to do. I have been looking for 5 months now. This sucks.

My other half wanted to become a phone actress and she wanted to know what things others have gone through. Is it good $ and how much have you made in a weeks time? How many hours a week have you worked to achieve that money? Is it hard to do? How long have you done it? I've seen on the net that some people working a total of 1200 minutes made about 500 bucks? thanks for the help!

I have no idea what I want to do with my life. Im a sophmore fine arts major and I'm very unhappy with that. I dont want to settle with a career in art education, or any teaching field for that matter.

I went to career services and they said I should pursue majors in Communications (philosophy, political science), and Business (marketing, public relations.)

Over the summer I work in a gift shop, and also I'm a guest services manager at a waterpark. I loooove running the gift shop, and as long as I'm working with customers I'm happy .(and not doing mindless work such as ticketing sales... I like answering questions and assisting emergencies/complaints)

so I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for me. Whats the differnence between marketing & communications degrees? Should I major in marketing with a minor in philosphy, vice versa, or communications & marketing, or communications & philosphy.

And what careers await me? lol I have no idea what Im working with here.

I know how to draw and paint and sculpt and If I had the chance maybe even design. I dont know excel/powerpoint/photoshop/autocad/indesign/accounting etc. enough at all even to fake it. I cant afford to go back to school or take a class. I dont have enough experience or reliable references to prove my talent. I want to design for theater but the few classes I took arent enough with out real references to back me up. I cant afford at all to have an internship where I am not being paid and I cant relocate. Plus my crappy temporary job I have prevents me from accepting any job immediately without the 2 week wait. I'm so sick of not qualifying but knowing that I am a good artist. What do I do?

I am a supervisor for a large bank, and have been offered a position as a banker for a small bank. There are pro's and con's to this . What should I do ? Should I relocate? I love Seattle and this was the whole reason I posted for this position. However Im in a leadership role with a large company and have a couple months left to be fully vested in my 401k, and future oppurtunities, this also comes with political drama and corporate injustices with this big bank, my work goes unappreciated. This smaller bank seems like they would appreciate my skills, strengths and I would have a bigger impact on the bottom line. I'm 26, single no kids and I rent here in Sacramento. What should I do , I think they want an answer?

I left the employer that fired me off my resume my intent is not what it seems to be I thought I could disclose once I prove my self they would understand why I didn’t disclose this information
I was experiencing some problems with my vision which I felt contribute to reading and writing errors. I managed to get two jobs both, which let me go without real explanation.
Job #1 Went through a temporary service worked 2 days and received a call from the recruiter I was more qualified than what they were looking for?
Job#2 Was hired 90 days to permanent seemed to be well liked and the office manager started checking my work was released back to me to file away not advised of any errors the written seemed to be good, even complimented on my written correspondence. On the third week, the same associate expressed in a loud and angry voice that the letter I wrote was not acceptable. The next day the office manager and this associate ask me to come in to conference room the office manager told me that they decided they needed someone with experience that is more recent and they were going to have to let me go.

I am 14 years old and am going into highschool next year. I had to chose between College Prep. and Carrear/Tech. Since i get A's and B's on my report card, i decided to take College Prep. , but that got me to thinking, what do i plan on doing later in life.... I have been taking guitar lessons for about 4 years, and i am really good at it... (infact just a couple days ago i played for one of my choir concerts). I have been thinking about going to college for guitar, but i thought about it and i thought that there wouldnt be to many jobs/Colleges for guitar-ing around Ohio, and even if there was, they probably wouldnt pay much.My other choice is probably Law Enforcement. I love to watch cops, and have been thinking about being onesince i was very young.... I like to play video game where u can be a police officer and do drug busts and pull people over and such, and i think i would make a good police officer... If anybody has any ideas on how to help me play tell me
