Does anyone know about any jobs for 15 year olds in Myrtle Beach SC? I need one because I'm graduating high school next year at 16, and I'm going to need to buy a car before I start my college classes. So any information would be really helpful! Also if you have any ideas about where I could look, that would be really helpful too!

* Please do not recommend any fast food places, I don't like to work in them.

Thanks

I work as a psychlogist at a small clinic. I just gave the head person here 4 wks notice that I'm leaving my job. My boss then reminded me that when I joined the clinic, there was a small clause in the contract I signed that said I must give her 8 wks notice before leaving. She threatens to take the money out of my final paycheck for each "week I miss in the 8 week leaving notice" -- to pay for the "missing weeks of work." Is this legal? Can she do that? I have already worked 3 weeks of my last four weeks & plan to work with my patients only one more. Is the head of this clinic legally entitled to withhold my last paycheck because I didn't give her "8 weeks notice?" Could someone please tell me where I stand legally in this (in Los Angeles, California)? What can I do to get my final paycheck, and is there are any state or local agencies I can turn to for help, or make a claim about this? I would greatly appreciate your thoughts.

my co-worker complained to our supervisor about not being able to complete her data entry task before the end of the day. well we rotate weekly to do our data entry, so this was her week. well i had somethings that needed to be done and she had to sit at the front desk instead of at the back table, being back there minimizes mistakes. anywhoo the computer was broken so she had to sit up front. she said that she couldnt do data entry while answering phones and serve customers which is funny because i can do that and more. im not bragging but she was gone for 2 days and i sat up at the front, serviced clients and completed my data entry. so i dont know what her problem is. last week there was no problem, i got my work done while taking on other duties towards a new position that i may be getting. she feels that if she has to sit up at the counter, she shouldnt have to service clients or answer phones if i am there. maybe shes not happy w/ my possible promotion but this is just wrong.

I'm thinking of applying at places at my outlet mall such as Aeropostale and Gap, but I guess I'm a bit nervous about it all. What are the odds of them accepting a 17 year old with no experience? Will I have to do a fancy interview to get the job? What kind of pay can I be expecting to get? I know the answers to these questions probably depend a lot on the manager/supervisor themself, and can't really be answered here, but any input as to what to expect would be greatly appreciated! :)

What's the best thing to do if you're in this situation? I know that it is kinda awkward to work in a company if your boss' wife gets pissed of you coz she thinks you flirt with her husband. I need your ideas guys.

My job requires me to obtain and retain several types of expensive certifications. My employer pays for them but I have to sign a contract every time I get one agreeing to pay them back if I start a new job within 1 year of obtaining that particular certificate. If I did quit before that year was up, can they keep my last check or is there a min. amount by law that they are allowed to hold ?

i am a professional who works in the healthcare field and i have a manager who is very verbally abusive to her subordinates. my work area is very thriving and has very good potential and its just that whenever we have issues at work it sure stresses my manager but just the way she handles it to her staff is so dehumanizing. hers is always the last word and by the time she calms down which is after some days, she somewhat expects us to just let it fly and move on but of course, the damage is done. we really believe in her capabilities to run the area but its just the way she verbally attacks people when mad. if it was the other way around, surely we'd be fired. but because its not, we are left to suffer in silence.

I am currently in the restaurant business and I hate it. I am very good at what I do but I am sick and tired of serving other people and the money isn't as good as it used to be. I'm looking for hourly work that pays at least $12/hr and doesn't require a college degree. Any ideas?
