i am a professional who works in the healthcare field and i have a manager who is very verbally abusive to her subordinates. my work area is very thriving and has very good potential and its just that whenever we have issues at work it sure stresses my manager but just the way she handles it to her staff is so dehumanizing. hers is always the last word and by the time she calms down which is after some days, she somewhat expects us to just let it fly and move on but of course, the damage is done. we really believe in her capabilities to run the area but its just the way she verbally attacks people when mad. if it was the other way around, surely we'd be fired. but because its not, we are left to suffer in silence.

thats too bad how much are u getting payed? How satisfied are u really in ur position? Think for ur self first because in this world 1 to 2 people will stick with u through out an ordeal.
As long as ur not getting yelled at, why should it concern u

Tell her straight away that you don't like it. I think she doesn't even realise how bad it is. Listen to what makes her feel that way. If she notices your really concerned and want to listen to her as a person, you can break the ice. Be ready for an attack at first, but once you stand your ground, it'll come loose.

You need to grow some *&^%$ and confront her, or report her. Abuse is illegal. I don't care what kind of big shot she thinks she is. If she cannot manage people without being a monster then she needs to step aside. If necessary go to her super..

Document the incidents. Talk about it with her- she might not even really realize that she is doing it. Is there a manager review?
