ok well obviously i'm 15 and i am wondering where i can get a job in either illinios or iowa since i live in illinois but most of the jobs are across the river from my town.and do i need to get one of those employment thingys that let a minor work if i go to the job that you tell me?

o yea i know some people are trying to help by saying babysitting but my town is small and most of the kids have older siblings to watch them so babysitting is out of the question.

Yes, you'll probably need "working papers." However, babysitting can be a lucrative cash business as well. It's like getting paid to sit and do your homework. :-)

My daughter Stated working at 15 summer job. She has been there a year. Moving up too, The more you work the more you learn. Some state you have to get work prements.
Check with your school they can tell you the state laws.

As per law, anyone under eighteen years of age is considered a minor. Many businesses hesitate to employ minors because of the legal restrictions on working hours and documentation required. im 15 and looking for a job too. most grocery stores let you bag groceries at 15 but i think that would get really boring

Mcdonalds is always hiring or you can jkoin this program called 'SYEP' summer youth employment program . iono if they have it in where ypou are but u can search it online for it. but it gives jobs to ppl form age 13-21

yes you will have to get a work permit (under 18 you have to have one if you live in the us). wal-mart, restaurants, grocery stores, fast food restaurants. unfortunately, those are the only places that employ 15 year olds that i know of.

try food service ie kitchen help or waitress
here in NY minimium wage is 7.15 and hour. but when you waitress its something like $4.30 but ive know waitresses to make well over $100 a night in tips
