Heck no, half the time you don't get much of a choice, you take what there is.

That depends. In some cases, a person's occupation expresses his/her interest in a field or the passion about something or the level of intelligence. On the other hand, some people endured unfortunate events that prevent them landing their dream job.

Sometimes I find that a person's choice of carreer really does suit them. Other times I wonder why the heck they are doing what they do. So to answer your question....

In some cases yes, but not everyone's occupation reflects who they are as a person.

We say that, "we are as we work" which means that your work defines you. That's why you call some people Teachers, Doctors, Lawyers etc.
Your work basically socialises you and defines how people relate with you.

No. I think sometimes the job you have is just the job you gotta take. I'm in a non-glamourous, dead end job and feel like I am completely where I am not supposed to be, but I am where I am because I need to pay the bills.

it certainly plays a big part in what they are like i think. people change when they have a lot of money.... for example a doctor. but it's not everything and i think some people need to realise that! :]

to a certain extent - yes, but mostly people are in wrong occupations. even then you can tell.

gosh, I hope not!!!! I work at a septic/porta potty business....ewwwww-I know....I REALLY hope that does NOT define who I am!!!
