there arent stats by city so one proxy might be gdp per capita. according to the intl monetary fund, the annual nominal per head gdp in 2006 was $ 8,569.584, and is expected to fall to $8,335.701 in 2007.
annual gdp per capita in purchasing power parity, which is a special exchange rate that reflects how how many goods and services the average income can buy was $12,737.111 in 2006 and will be $13,587.663 in 2007.
the swiss bank UBS updates its "price and earnings" report every 2 years. according to that source, net income per year for a car mechanic is $7,400; $20,500 for a bank credit officer; $9,300 for a personal assistant; $8,200 for a female sales assistant; $17,000 for an engineer; $9,800 for a skilled industrial worker; $16,600 for a dept head; $25,000 for a product manager; $7,300 for a primary school teacher, and $11,800 for a cook.
although these values are low relative to those in the us, u have to consider the cost of living in chile is way lower as well. for instance, an anual income in chile of about $25,000 makes a person (not household) here middle/upper middle class whereas in the us thats just the average salary.
if u want official stats go to bcentral.cl, which is the central bank site or ine.cl, which is the official stats agency here in chile. however, ull only find indexed figures there with a 2006 base 100, not figures in real money. hope this works!

The salary/remuneration for a particular job is the market value for a particular profession and designation at the city/town where the office is located. Job postings at websites like Monster, Yahoo HotJobs and Careerbuilder carry information about salaries. The Govt Dept of Labor, (www.bls.gov) Bureau of statistics has information about median salaries for different professions and details of additional compensation offered. Other online resources are salary.com and payscale. Your salary will also depend on your educational qualification and how you handle your career.
