When you look at other people's trash for good stuff ?
When you go straight to the sale racks at every store you go to ?
When you eat Ramen noodles for breakfast, lunch and dinner ?
When you tip your waiter with quarters ?
When you spend all weekend searching for change in the furniture just so you can go to Taco Bell ?
When you drive 30 miles to save 5 cents per tank of gas on your next fillup ?

If I don`t have a career where I`m making a difference, I`ll hate it. Thats important. I love psycology, but I also love wild animals. When I was little, I watched animal documentaries instead of cartoons. I never watch television. I want to travel around, but its not an absolute necessity. I`m okay with keeping busy. As long as I`m doing something I enjoy, I`ll work 24/7. I`ve never gotten lower than a C on my report card. I only got two C`s. Algebra, which I`m taking a year early (its not an excuse, but I got into a year early. Thats the point). And Spanish 1, which I took two years early.

If you have any more questions for me to help you answer my question, please ask.

I've been working really hard toward my post-grad course and I'm now half way through. However, I'm beginning to wonder if the job I am striving for will make me content in the long run. Is it more foolish to give up something half way through or carry on regardless?

I found an ad in the classifieds in the newspaper for positions for Nursing Students yesterday that would be perfect for me! In the ad, it listed two HR managers along with their telephone numbers and email addresses. I emailed both of them this morning and now am wondering if it would have been better to call. Would it be ok for me to call even though I emailed them this morning? Or should I just wait for them to contact me? Thanks for any input!

I deliver pizzas for a living, and what the supervisor (the supervisor of my manager) wants to do this experiment. He wants to have a ton of drivers in the store so when a driver comes back from a delivery he or she would have to wait his or her turn, which would mean less $ per driver. He wants to do this so he would not have to hire anyone who wants to work inside only. The drivers would have to do the inside work when they are waiting.

So I'm sitting in my office with absolutely no work to do and for the past hour and a half the heat has not been working. There is a whole big process that needs to be done in order to restart the damn thing, which only my boss can do so I'm stuck freezing on one of the coldest days of the year. I just called my boss's cell phone and left a message about 5 minutes ago indicating that I am without heat again and am waiting for him to show up or call. How long would you wait before deciding to leave? or would you leave at all? I'm just curious to see what others would do in my situation... This happens pretty much on a daily basis...

You know some of us been shy all our lives and don't talk much, so our language skills are bad even if we are adults. The only thing i find in newspapers, etc .. are RECEPTIONIST jobs, but they wouldn't like a person like me who is going to mess up all the time and doesn't have much personality.

Been to school and everything , i have skills.. but all the jobs seem to be for talkative people only. even a basic office assistant job. In fact i had a few Temp. office assistant jobs before and they hated me and then got rid of me because i didnd't fit in with all the other non stop talkers.

I've received an offer from another firm, but only verbally, and not in any official sense. I will be receiving final information today or tomorrow, but won't receive the official signed and sealed paper copy till the end of the week. However, I have a meeting scheduled mid-week to discuss our company's marketing plan, what my role will be and my goals and projects over the next year. Do I go to the meeting and act like nothing is going on? Do I turn in my notice before I receive the paper copy? Do I attempt to postpone the meeting so that I will receive my official offer and be able to turn in my notice prior to the meeting?
