Id like to know your opinions from actual working electricians.
What pays better,,,residential or commercial?
In residential, with your license, how much does it take to go into business for yourself?
What are the odds of getting hired by a automobile plant?
In automobile plants, do GM and ford electricians make more than a toyota or nissan electrician?

I was at a job that I loved, but the money wasn't good enough and I couldn't afford my bills, so I took this job because the money was a lot better. I've been with this firm for 8 months now. The job is a dead end job for me (it's a filing position within a law firm). It has absolutely nothing to do with my college degree.

My husband and I are in the process of looking for a house to buy and we want to start a family soon. I hate this job and dislike my boss greatly. Is it too soon to resign and look for a new job? Or, should I stick it out until I've been here for at least a year?

I don't want to look like a "job-jumper" because that could hurt my chances of getting a new job.

Any suggestions?

I am looking for a job but I can't easily commute to a bigger town, so an online job is the answer. I don't think the survey thing works for me. I would like an actual job with an actual employer so I could actually pay taxes. Anyone?????

I know you need it to get a better job, but some student go crazy because of all the work they have to do. Work after work is not right because it can put strain on your mind and that can lead to other types mental illness.

Hi, I'm a female in my mid-20's and I've been having a hard time making a career decision. I have a good idea of some of the things I'd ideally like to have in a job (variety, opportunity for some creativity, fairly quiet environment, being able to work independently or one-on-one), but am still unsure. I'd also like to stay away from overly technical or business type work.

I have a BA in English and enjoy writing, but I also understand how difficult it is to write as a main job. I also have considered animal-related work (my biggest passion), but am having trouble finding opportunities outside of vet's offices. I almost began a program in library science, but am concerned about how technical the field is becoming as well as the poor job market in the Chicago area.

Currently I am working in general office at a college and while I enjoy working at a school, the routine work is seriously boring me. Any advice? (Serious answers only, please!) Thanks very much!

I have good experience as a cake decorator and could work with practically anything. But I think I need to move on from where I'm at. (retail)

Ok, I always get asked this question in interviews by HR people...."tell me about a time you had a conflict with a co-worker and how was it resolved?"
Here's the problem, I can't really recall a time I had a conflict, or if I did it must have been so insignificant to be remembered......do I lie and make up a story to satisfy HR, or do I honestly answer that I haven't really had any significant conflicts?

I was thinking to become this.. Anyone have any personal info on the advantages/disadvantages of this career? How long do I need to go to college for?!

I know it varies by location but any estimation would be appreciated.

I am a senior in college about to graduate with a bachelors, and while beggining to apply for jobs and writing resumes, I dont exactly have a ton of work experience, and by that I literally mean 2 jobs plus nannying. Question -
do I include NANNY positions in my resume for actual real jobs???
It seems that it proves my responsibility and trust from the parents to take care of the most important things(kids) in their lives, but also it might make it sound unprofessional???
Im confused and lost, please tell me what you think / know!
Thank you
