Its funny every time I go on Yahoo answers and see people complaining about it being “a white man’s world” and say they deserve more and better then what they have with out realizing white men worked hard and earned everything they got. Of course there are gonna be some angry people posting here trying to deny the truth but it is not a coincidence that the nicest and best countries to live in tend to be created and ran by white men. And lets be honest the majority of the most important inventions used today that everyone loves so much like Planes, cars, television, computers, phones, the internet, light bulbs, motion pictures, photography, assembly line, ect(I could go on for hours) was once again create by white males. What’s really annoying is when white males create a company and invention, they work hard to make it a success like Boeing, Microsoft, Dell, ect, and then non white males demand they hire them and give them high profile or executive jobs like they are owed something. Imagine white men making the same demands to a company owned by a bunch of minorities, imagine all the crying and whining they would be doing.

And before those who say that its cause of colonialism that white males are so successful, I would like to mention that Northern Africans, Arabs, and Mongolians colonized and oppressed white people before, yet we never made it an excuse for our short comings and we freed ourselves and worked hard to become a success.

And for those who say its because of slavery, I say the majority of countries have had slavery in its passed but obviously it had nothing to do with how successful it is now. Look at Brazil, Mexico, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Africa, ect. All had slavery yet none of these countries are extremely successful today.

So why do people think white men owe, have to give up, or have to share what they’ve created? And how many will tell the truth and admit white males have earned their success?

Okay here's the deal, Im 24 and for schooling all I have is grade 12, and a level 3 first aid ticket (EMP). Right now I have a good job doing the first aid, pays well, more than id ever get at a min.wage job here in canada. In one month i bring home anywhere from 3000.00 - 5000.00, this is working pretty much the full month, 12 hours a day. But it's a very, very boring job, i basically sit in my truck all day waiting for someone to get hurt, and i have to deal with men all day, everyday, who work in the oilpatch. Ive been doing it for 3 yrs, and I would like too do something else. I really would like to get into helping animals, like work at the local animal shelter, but im just worried that i will go for the job change and bang, im not happy with the pay or i won't like the new job. How can I get over this and just try something new, or should I even bother changing jobs?

My boss can't afford to have me full time at work. I enjoy where i am because of the clients. She wants to cut my hours down to 2 days if i'm lucky, instead of the 5. I can't afford to work only two days because the industry is so poor you can't survive. My boss wants the agreement where she wants me when she needs me. It's not fair for me because i need income yet i'm happy where i am. Is she being selfish? Should i just leave?

I am 31 years old and getting married in 2.5 weeks. I have a B.S. degree in Fashion Design and since college I have worked as an Administrative Assistant for about 2 years and the rest of the time I worked as a Recruiter. I just finished my last recruiting job about 6 months ago. I just went back to school to become a nurse because I know that this job is in high demand and demands a good salary. That is the only reason. Now, I am reconsidering this path. I have always really liked the beauty industry. I have worked the past year as a makeup artist on a freelance basis. I love it. I am in serious thought that I want to quit nursing school and go and get a license as an Estitician. I know I would be happy and like working in the beauty industry. I am not sure if I would really like nursing. What should I do? Does it seem stupid to quit school since I told everyone that I want to be a nurse? I feel embarrassed. Is this something I should be embarrassed about or looked down upon?

I kept telling her I didn't want to talk about it until we both calmed down. She kept on and on. I asked her to leave my office and we could talk later. She slammed my door and before that screamed at me that I was very unprofessional. I told her she was the one that was unprofessional. Everyone heard her in the office. She wants to meet with me tomorrow and I don't know what to say. She is a micro-manager and always right and doesn't listen.

i have this job for more than a year already. i used to be contented with this job before...but now, i'm no longer happy with it. not happy in the sense of what i am doing. everything is so monotonous, so common. but i love the people around me. one part of me wants to go other part wants to stay. it's hard to loose job nowadays i know.maybe that's another reason why i preferred to stay than leave.
another side is, my employer can't give me the benefits i should be getting. he keeps on telling me he'll pay this day, this day, this day.promises that are made to be broken. im sick and tired of all his promises.as much as i want to leave, i have a big influence with my officemates.i know they might loose their job when i leave the company.i am really torn between leaving or staying...also my boss owes me a lot of money...what should i do?
