As far as the minimum wage, probably not the brightest move but I don't think it will be that big a problem. They know eventually you will become friends with at least one other employee there, and the talk may go to wages. If they think you might find out you are paid much lower than them, it may make them think about paying you less. But if minimum wage is what they pay or you are paid less (but not a whole lot less) than everyone else, don't worry about it. Raises should come sooner or later.
They know this is your first job, so don't worry too much about making mistakes. Ask questions and pay attention to everything they tell you. Especially on how to make these various items. They'll give quite a bit of leeway in making mistakes, just be courteous to customers above all else. Don't lose your temper with them or with any trainers (even if you get stressed out, not that it will definitely happen but it could--so be ready to really hold down your temper); it shouldn't be a problem.
Congratulations on the job.

Good job on getting a new job.
First of all, dress to impress. Make a good impression by wearing apprpriate yet tasteful clothes. Don't go overboard with the make up, and leave the house REALLY EARLY. Arriving early also gives and impression of orginaization.
When you get jobs to do around the store, listen very carefully, don't interupt the boss, and ask questions when he's done talking.
When you leave, say Goodbye of Have a good Day, smae as saying good morning.
Good luck and I hope these tips help!
I don't know for the last question.

Congrats! I remember my first job and I felt the exact same way!
You'll see once you get there that you'll know how to do a good job.
Some tips I can give are:
-Don't be afraid to ask questions and make sure you understand what you're doing.
-Be reliable, show up on time for work when scheduled and try to make calling in to work something you do onbly when you have to like an emergency for illness that keeps you in bed.
- You're working with the public....smile and be polite!!
Good luck!! I'm sure you'll do great. The fact that you're thinking about what you can do to do a good job means you're taking it seriously and that's a good sign.
Oh...and as far as the minimum wage comment....it's not stupid but next time try putting down something like "going rate" or "negotiable".

First off, it wasnt stupid to put minimum wage because thats all they would consider paying you. Being your first job, you lack experience and thats what jobs like these base your wage on. I am also happy for you because you seem like a motivated teen that dont leach off mommy and daddy like some do. You will be glad you didnt depend on them 100% later on in life because when you had to support yourself, it would be a shocker! LOL
As for your work performance, just be nice to the customers and try to not let the "butt hole type" customers get to you. Some people think that since someone is waiting on them, they have a right to treat the sales person badly. They are losers. While working, be busy or look busy when the boss is around. Dont just sit around doing nothing because no one wants to pay someone for talking on the phone to their BF or socializing instead of being productive. When business is slow and you have everything stocked, pick up a broom or mop and clean a little or at least look like you are. That will send the message to your boss that he hired a pleasant hard working girl who appreciates her job. Good Luck..I commend you!

No.
Getting a job in your teenage years is good, because it gives you valuable experience in how the world functions in the professional work world.
Even if the pay is not good, the experience that you will get is more valuable than money.
As for the job, just try your best and give a good impression at all times, not only when the boss comes. Then, you will win his favor slowly, and move up.

there is way t get out of this... When you sit down to finalize the agreement, on the subjet of wages, the salary will be revised after the 3 month trial, of course! Isn't how it works ? I think so.
Good luck ! You'll do great

CONGRADULATIONS No it is not stupid to say that you are willing to work the job for minimum wage. Your employer will want an employee that is willing to learn and willing to do a good job. As long as this is how you feel, you will do well.

Good for YOU! Good luck! Pay attention and don't ask twice...get it down the first time around. Always act professional, responsible, punctual, no skin, no dating the other employees, etc. All the normal work ethics.
