I know you need it to get a better job, but some student go crazy because of all the work they have to do. Work after work is not right because it can put strain on your mind and that can lead to other types mental illness.

College "work" is nothing like real world work.

In college, only you depend on your work. In the real world, many people do. It's a world of difference.

But to answer your question, there are many reasons to get a degree - specialization, network development, etc.

Welcome to reality. Life is filled with work. College is just a stepping stone. Its a known fact that the more educated a person is, the more money they make throughout their lifetime. Its definitely worth the work. And I've never met anyone who went "crazy" from too much homework. Give me a break.

Are you worried that hard work will harm you. Not to worry Hard work will not kill you, you will pass out before you die. One does not work for the "diploma" one works for the knowledge that the diploma represents. Then to demonstrate to others that you have this knowledge, you display the diploma.
