Hi, since it's second semester of my senior year, I think I'm going to cut back on the schoolwork and get a job. I'm not sure what I should look for, though. It may sound snobbish, but my standards are a bit higher because I feel that I'm smart and hardworking enough not to have to begin in fast food/grocery store environments (my school record and the college I'm attending in the fall can back this up). I also fear overqualification (if the job is too mundane, I'd get bored and my efficiency would go down...we walked about this in economics at school). With that in mind, what are some good job ideas for a smart high school senior?

Not like entry-level salary equivelent, but something that, when paired with part-time job, I will have money left over to save.
As stated, I have a part-time job and I'm a full time student.
Please help!

I've determined that I crave social interraction and like to be in the spot light way too much for accounting! I just can't figure what else I can do with my accounting degree. It's perplexing. I like to travel, I like attention :0), I am a whiz at interviews (so maybe I'd be good at recruiting) - I just don't know. Any ideas!?

I am currently a high school student very interested into becoming a nurse, more specifically a pediatric nurse. i have looked at several colleges online and have my schooling planned out. i was just wondering what are your likes and dislikes about this job? what do you get paid, roughly? and what steps in high school and college did you take to get where you are now? also, what are your daily tasks? i am not looking for just pediatric nurses but any type of nurse along these lines. thanks for any reply that can help me make my career choice!

So, my supervisor never told me what to call him, so in email correspondence I address him as "Mr. Doe." But when I need to talk about him to other people, I say "John."

So I accidentally addressed my latest email to him: "Hi John." Crap. Am I in trouble? I'm just an intern, btw.

I was wondering if there are any healthcare professionals in Houston, Texas that needs or wants a summer intern for the summer of 2007. I really would like to get some experience in different types of healthcare fields this summer. I am still trying to decide on what I want to do with my life and I think the experience would really help me to make the decision. I know that I want to work in the field of healthcare, I just do not know what specific job. Please leave the name of the hospital or clinic if you are interested. I love helping people, I am nice and very amiable and willing to work. I have participated in a student teaching internship and I really liked it. I also love to work with children. Any feedback will be appreciated.

I'm currently working in Iraq as a contractor for the evil Halliburton Corporation but when I finish here in July I should have about 118 grand in the bank and thinking about moving to Edmonton for some kind of trucking job in the Oil fields. My question is will the boom in Alberta keep going for a long time or do you think it will come to a grinding halt anytime soon?

Last October, I was fired from a small botique for supposedly stealing something. I was told over the phone, and didn't really get a chance to explain myself thoroughly. I never recieved my last pay check either. I most certainly didn't steal the dress (it was two sizes too big for me, common now) but was fired becuase one of the other girls said I did it. Everytime I think about it, I get really upset. My confidence was pretty ruined by this experience, not to mention I was out of a job. Do you think emotional distress and being fired under false pretenses (is that what you call it?) without recieving my last paycheck is grounds for a law suit?
