I was wondering if there are any healthcare professionals in Houston, Texas that needs or wants a summer intern for the summer of 2007. I really would like to get some experience in different types of healthcare fields this summer. I am still trying to decide on what I want to do with my life and I think the experience would really help me to make the decision. I know that I want to work in the field of healthcare, I just do not know what specific job. Please leave the name of the hospital or clinic if you are interested. I love helping people, I am nice and very amiable and willing to work. I have participated in a student teaching internship and I really liked it. I also love to work with children. Any feedback will be appreciated.

I wanted to reply b/c I am studying the pre-reqs for speech-language therapy. I am hoping to start the program the end of the year. From the classes and friends in the field is a great field to work in....
Internships though are normally given to grad students finishing up the program.
I think the best way to experience the industry is to start taking classes and making associations with the dept. for ideas on where to work to get the feel of it.

i do not stay in l. a. so can not contact upon the pay or protection of those allied health professions on your region. besides the undeniable fact that, I actually have had lots to do with all 3 of those professions as a make certain of a disabled newborn and it sounds such as think ofyou've got discovered an effective decision now that you've referred to your weaknesses with blood etc. those professions paintings in a spread of circumstances so it may well be rehabilitation, acute health center or maybe in the community. i'd advise that you look a touch added at occupational treatment because it has a lot ability and scope. it would also help you paintings with each and every age, in diverse circumstances and in thoroughly diverse roles so in case you don't like one area, you are able to continually attempt some thing diverse. both will be an effective occupation decision.

You need some kind of experienced to do any of those jobs. Please read the other answer I gave you a little bit ago.
