I've determined that I crave social interraction and like to be in the spot light way too much for accounting! I just can't figure what else I can do with my accounting degree. It's perplexing. I like to travel, I like attention :0), I am a whiz at interviews (so maybe I'd be good at recruiting) - I just don't know. Any ideas!?

I'm suggesting with the assumption you have at least a bachelor's degree. You may just need a job with a different company. It can be very solitary and very boring at the wrong place. I got my experience and opened up my own business. I work in different offices and sometimes in my own home. An accounting background should get you into most other careers. How about financial advising? You certainly deal with people in that career. You should be able to get into management of some sort. It's really up to whatever you want to do. .

Shop around there are very many job's available. I hear the UN is hiring where this type of experience would be helpful. The government is always looking for great accountants, I think they are searching for about 1,000 accounting related positions in all the departments of government.

You could become one of those government auditors and be in almost constant travel mode all over the world.

Jump from job to job. A friend of mine has a degree in accounting. He jumped jobs four times the first year. Went from 18,000 to $50,000. The last job, he only had to be at work for four hours, the rest of the day he went to movies, played golf. I think he did sign on with a head hunter.

I suggest you take that accounting degree and bubbly personality and start your own business.
I have one in health and wellness where you are constantly competing with yourself to get ahead, and it comes with a great deal of recognition! And a lot of fun and travel! Not to mention incomes of $10k-$20k/mo are definately not unusual, and I know some who earn 5 times that. Imagine what you could do then! I'm going for it.
