Yes. Your social security card and birth certificate should be permitted as identification for a job.
However, they may ask for photo identifcation as well, which can be easily obtained with the social security card and copy of your birth certificate from the state (State IDs are often issued at the same place as drivers licenses).
You will most likely be asked to fill out an application as well as go through the interview process, but when asked for proof of identification usually a social security card and birth certificate will do fine.

Assuming the company wants to hire you, the company needs to file certain forms with the federal government, along with your identification materials. According to the I-9 requirements, you would need additional identification to be hired legally. Not knowing, your specific situation, there are a variety of forms of identification you could use. See page three of the attached form (an I-9 like the one your employer would need to file) obtained from the website below for a list of acceptable forms of identification.
