It will depend if you are hired as a salaried employee (you get paid the same amount every month) or if you are an hourly employee. Usually hourly people (you get paid by the hour) do not get any benefits which is really awful. You can find out by checking your employee handbook &/or checking with your Personnel Department or your supervisor. If you have no benefits at work you may have state disability insurance which will give you some income while you are not able to work. If you have health insurance through your job then you should have some coverage for your pregnancy. Make sure you start your pre-natal care now. Congratulations!

Even if they have insurance and benefits, there is a waiting period usually. Didn't they give you that information when you started? Why didn't you tell them you were pregnant when you started? Your best bet is to talk to your boss and let him/her know what is going on and find out from there what your options are.

Not sure on benefits, but make sure you know your rights as an employee. Check out the site below and make sure to change the location/state in which you work. Hope this helps.

you really should speak with your benefits department about it, they'll help you out how they can. It varies state to state so its diff to say. FMLA usually doesn't kick in for 1 year. Depending on the health insurance they may or may not deny a pre-existing condition most group insurance accept pre existing.

If you are asking if they have to help you the answer is no, but even if you have insurance, you would have a waiting period. Tell them now you are pregnant and it will be harder if they want to let you go.
