i try to move up to a better position and never get it... i usaly have great marks or whatever never get wrote up or repremanded, is this because i am too valuble and good at what i do or is this because they realy don't care how good you are at your job it's all about who you know? i also, need to mention the people that move up or whatever usaly have been repremanded at one time or another am i experincing some kind of descrimanation?

sometimes i do a 12 hour shift after picking up other staff then i have to drop them of.i can drive for 2 to 4 hours before i start work.

I droped out of high school when i was 17 because of my friend...well at least i thought he was....he found out i was gay and ended up making up all these stories...that i would hit on him or i would try and touch him and so on....but it just got to a point where i just couldt handle it so i dropped out ....now live with parents, no job , low selfesteem / lack self confidence, and am constantly thinking about what other people are saying or think of me ....I'm just a mess...i need help........ I cant live with parents forever. Need to gain some kind of financial stability.....i need help....what do i do.......I'm scared........: (

As a sommelier myself, I find that some restaurateurs feel that the staff should all have sufficient knowledge of the food, drinks and tobaccos to service the customers' requirements, whilst some feel that a sommelier is essential for the smooth running of the service and satisfaction of the clients. I currently work for a wine supplier, rather than on a restaurant floor, where I find my training is equally applicable. What do you consider to be the arguments for and against having sommeliers in restaurants.

I'm a Singaporean Chinese with a Masters degree in English Language Education. I can speak English, Mandarin and French fluently. My forte is really in teaching English but I know most schools want to hire only teachers who are native speakers of English.

Came from poor beginnings, now I'm 34, an MBA, make $100K, have a nice car, nice house, great wife, amazing baby girl, travel often, but I feel bored with it all. What's missing...religion maybe? Am I petty? Am I spoiled? Am I thank-less?

I feel like quitting my job, starting a business and risk it all or living in India for a year volunteering. Sick of all the "stuff" I have. Any advice??

I have a degree in graphic design, have 10 years of job experience and I live in Athens - Greece. My boyfriend and I are thinking of moving to Phoenix - Arizona in a couple of years since its possible he'll have the chance to work and study at the same time there. How can I ensure that I'll be able to work there, preferably as a graphic designer - illustrator as I do now in Greece? I've started my first semester in college with Graphic Design as my major. And I just found out online from an anonymous person that you should major in Advertising if you want a career as an Art Director. Should I change my major to Advertising or will I still be on the right track with Graphic Design? If anyone could please help me out I would really appreciate it.
