arms dealer? you mean the illegal kind? How one gets into that are as varied as the individuals themselves. Basically it is somebody out to make some bucks and doesn't care how they do it.

A person who believes in the right to bear arms is not necessarily a bad person (arms dealer). Just like a drug dealer, it is their character, not their career that makes them a bad person. Supposing you ran a business, and the government said that you would not recieve the support of the legislature nor the law enforcement agencies, would you not be required to defend yourself? Wouldn't you undoubtedly come across those who would seek to exploit the fact that reporting a theft from your enterprise would come to no avail? So I reiterate, it is not the occupation but rather the character that defines the "bad guys". Granted, the power that illicit trades brings almost inevitably corrupts those who have ascended the black market ladder, but for what reason does this market exist? If it was not for people dealing illegal weapons to our citizens and other nations, don't you think that the power thereby given to our own government, knowing we stand defenseless, would give opportunity for a sudden and vile change in the structure of our laws? Wiretapping would be the absolute least of our problems then. I guess that basically what I am trying to say is, when you write your report, and you mention something about arms dealers, just keep in mind that while the large part of these people are scum, they are check and balance to our own nation's power, and their role is necessary.
