Subject: Letter of Recommendation for CFB Petawawa

To Whom It May Concern,

I have known Richard Brennan for many years. Richard has been presently working on my horse farm as a labourer. He has skills in mucking box stalls, grooming, daily chores, and repairing minor problems. Richard is a very hard worker. I also believe that Richard is very consistent and applies himself well to his assigned tasks. He has shown iniative and willingness to take on new tasks.

I would recommend Richard Brennan for an employee at your company. He is a smart person and loves to meet new people. Richard is well motivated and very organized.

How should I end the rest.

for example...how much do they get paid and what is the education that has to be required to join the s.w.a.t team?

The pay is average enough for me to pay the bills, eat well, and buy stuff. The problem is I hate the work, I don't think it is going to advance me to the forefront of my field and I am also certain that I won't ever accumulate close to 1 million at this company. Plus I think the company culture sucks and is full of haters in the sense that they always blame others for something going wrong or can't be fixed. Sometimes I think I am crazy because I am seeing stuff that is being done so blatantly wrong yet no one tries to improve things. There doesn't seem to be a standard of excellence and achievement. I feel like I got a lot of great ideas but am not wiling to share it because:
1) haters feel threatened, think I'm dissing their work, will be pessimistic and say the project is too high risk no funds

2) I don't get anything except a 1 time bonus and maybe a pat on the back. Why share a potentially million dollar idea and have it split 1,000 different ways?

What should I do?

I had been working for a big company for 6 years. I started as inside sales nad ended up being the operations manager. I was unhappy, stressed, and was getting paid less than I was as just bookkeeper, also I wanted to go back to school and take care of my two little boys. I decided to quit and gave my two weeks notice. When I did this my boss asked me to train the new person taking over so I agreed to train him for a few days. While training him I discovered he was going to get paid about $10,000 more than I was. Granted he has managment experience but he knows nothing about the business. I did not mention anything to my exboss I really do not see the point now that I am out but I really thought it was unfair. Should I have said something?? The reason why I held back was because he will have to be a reference for any other job offer and I do not want this to bite in the a.. later! What would you have done??

I filed a complaint against my boss just before the holidays for something she was trying to make me do that was unethical. She turned the tables on me and brought up old dirt and started disciplinary action against me. There is an investigation pending but the policy of the company won't talk to certain parties involved, only direct employees, some of who I know they've not contacted. What should I do? I have a monetary committment to stay with this company for at least another 6 months. I believe I won't hear anything else on my complaint and they now won't allow me to transfer to another dept. Should I talk to a lawyer or just leave this alone? The folks in HR seem to believe me but I also get the sense their hands are tied and I've just ruffled the wrong feathers.

I got kicked in my knee at work. To my understanding workmans comp only pays if I'm gone for more than 2 weeks. I should put sick leave on my time card? Is that correct?
