Join the Army. You would go in as an O-3 (captain) starting around $45k. The JAG corps is nothing like the rest of the Army. Easy duty, regular 9-5 hours and great experience. Plus you get the respect and honor to say you served.

You could try and work for the FBI. I don't know if that appeals to you but they only require that you have a JD, and not that you passed the bar exam to become a special agent in the field of law. I'm waiting for my results and we get them this Friday. I too have had trouble finding jobs and have applied to well over 100 positions. It's a tough situation. I actually have thought about considering applying to the FBI if I don't pass. Not what I had in mind but its a good job and many people don't have the proper qualifications but would love to work for them. I have genuine empathy for your situation. Good luck.

You should be working closely with counselors at the law school. It is in their best interest for you to land a job out of school.
Law schools are ranked based on various statistics, but two of the most important are job placement numbers and bar passage numbers.
The more students they hook up with jobs the better they will rank compared to other law schools. There are probably resources in the school that you have missed. Talk to your professors and advisers.

I know someone who was recently in the same situation. He got a job at a school district. I was surprised, i thought they would have out sourced that position but they want someone on staff. So I would try the school districts and other "out of the box" ideas. Remember, everyone needs a good lawyer on their side.

Gosh now I'm getting scared! But good luck, some of the people here have suggested renting your own office and starting your own business, that may work. Hope you find a job soon!

I know a guy who had the same difficult after law school.
He started his own business offering research services to law firms. This way he met many people and was soon offered a full-time position. Now he's doing very well.
Good luck!

I would contact every legal firm I want to work for and volunteer my services free....for the experience.
Also the courts...and wherever else you wish to be.
I guarantee a company will take you on and if you work hard, offer you a position.
I had a shop and a guy came and offered to work for me for free..and I evntually hired him as he worked his way into a job...
