When I was 14 I worked part-time at a law firm. I ran documents to the court house, made bank deposits and copies and inserted updates into law resource books. I worked about 15 hours a week so I did not need a work permit in my state. This may be something you want to look into.

I think the real problem here is that you don't want to rely so much on your parents. That's a REAL problem, because you're working hard to grow up, to live like someone beyond your age group. Wanting to take up a job isn't a bad thing, but do it for the right reasons. Being "ruled" by the King / Queen of the house (aka your parents) does teach you alot. And you'll need that when you grow up and move on in life. Trust me.

Anyway, you're young. When i was your age, i wanted to find a great job too. But at that age, i was limited to the choices you listed- fast food & groceries. But we all have to start somewhere. Taking on a job means you will have responsibilities outside of school & home. And it means fulfilling those responsibilities in a real-world environment, something you may or may not be ready for. My best advice is to take up an entry-level position, and work your way up from there. Work for experience- at your age, the money is just a bonus.

Finding a job is not an easy task. However you are too young to work in the public sector. And what do you mean babysitting won't get you anywhere. It will get you money in your pocket. And if you want to get anywhere, get an education that will do you more good than anything else. And if you feel guilty asking your mom for money why don't you work for her. You can clean the house do the dishes, cook dinner, etc.....pamper your mother then you both get what you want.

I see young people working as host/hostess at IHOP. Also, a small business like a restaurant, coffee shop, store, bakery may hire you. Be safe and don't be too friendly to customers/leave work with anyone but your parents. You will go far in life, Augustina. Stay independent and thank your parents for giving you a good work ethic.

Good question because right now there are teenagers making huge amounts of money with their blogs. They have the time, the friends and the network to attract a lot of visitors to their blogs. With adsense on their sites they know that teenagers are happy little clickers causing a tidal wave of money in earnings.

You get paid to post and answer posts. He does quite well. If you are quite active you can make quite a bit. You can also win money by posting pictures, playing the daily contest, and also by going to an area called cash zone where you type in words and you win money! It's cool and he loves it!

It depends on the age i the state where you live. Ask your parents the legal working age in your state.

Sorry, it's illegal for them to hire you. Why do you need money so much? Your parents are supposed to take care of you. If you want something that expensive, you probably don't actually need it.
