Every program wants money for you to start "working" with them. I've never paid anyone to have a job, don't intend to start now. I don't want to sell online with my "own business"; I want to work FOR a legitimate company, networked, online.

I've noticed that when having conversations with people about their job, they say the phrase, "It's good money." Being polite, I don't inquire how much they make, although I'm wondering what their idea of good money is.

I am a medical transcriptionist and I love forensics. I would love to work with someone like Dayle Hinman, Body of Evidence or just work for a medical examiner. I presently work at home now and do psychiatric and rehabilitation transcription. I have looked everywhere and cannot find the hookup for doing autopsies here in Michigan. I have an associates degree in medical transcription. Does anyone have any suggestions to make my dreams come true.

i have a question related to salary that i would like to ask. I am a university fresh graduate and looking for my first full time job. Recently i went for an interview and everything went well. I quite like the job and the employer was asking for a second interview some time soon. However during the interview, the subject on salary was brought up and i requested an x amt of salary. The employer did not say anything and i feel that he is ok with amount i quoted. But after some thinking after the interview i feel that the amount is quite low and i would like a much higher salary. I am not sure whether it is advisable to request for a higher salary as i am afraid he might not be happy with me for breaking my words. Please give some advice to what is the proper way to put it across. And should i wait for the second interview before i raise this question or should i send him an email before the second interview. Thanks

I prefer the female point-of-view, but appreciate all answers.

I heard that when you apply for jobs that are not degree specific (ie. Doctors, Lawyers, Social Work, etc.) that it doesn't matter what your degree was in just as long as it was a bachelors or master. Is this true? I would really like to major in Anthropology or another "non-career" field but do not want to end up working fast food or retail again. No offense to those in the field, I have spent 15 years there and want a change. Can I major in a "non-career" field and still get a good job?

My boss is flirting with at least 3 girls everyday! He also smokes everyday and does not do his job and smokes outside instead! He is friends with everyone. If I try to report him, I will get in trouble cause one time I tried to report a man that was hurrassing me and the HR did nothing! They just said that he likes me, but he is a lot older and uglier than me!

i just got my first job at this breakfast/cafe as a dishwasher. ive only beem working there for a week now and dont have any official work hours. the manager told me when my first day of work was and also my second. i had my first day with no problems but the second day the manger wasnt there and it turned out he told me the wrong time si i was 1hour late. then today i get a call from someone who works there (not the manager) telling me i have a have today and was supposed to be in 30 minutes ago. im 4 hours away at my grandma because we went up there for christmas so theres no possible way i can get to work today.

what im trying to say is that ive only worked there for a week and have already been late once and missed a day of work. i have no official hours and only go in when the manager tells me (seems a dishwasher isnt his top priority). on top of this i am going to florida with my family in three days. so ive been late missed a day and now cant go in for a week.
