I love to draw and I'm very artistic. I'm quiet, I get decent grades and I'm always looking in stores like Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel. I'm only 13 and trying to figure out what I want. I also want the job to be an easy field to get into.

I came into my shift two hours early (They allow that at my work, because I get paid by salary, not hourly), because I has some work I wanted to get out of the way. My shift was to start at noon.
My Co-worker was suppose to be in at 6am for his shift and calls me up, and tells me "What are you doing 4 hours late?". I pull-up the schedule and say, "No, you are four hours late to work, you were suppose to be in at 6am"

HIS AMAZING RESPONSE...."I was under the impression I was suppose to come in at noon..."

My reply "You know.. maybe you should speak with the supervisor"

How this whole thing unfolded was... No one showed-up at 6am, the supervisor started to wonder where anyone was, and decided to call my co-worker. My co-worker drops my name, says I am later for work (Neither of them look at the schedule). They both call my house AFTER I left and before I got to work. Looking at the schedule, I was early, not late.

My dad and I are having a debate on wether looking at the keys while I type will seriously affect my typing speed. I don't know anyone who bothers to learn to type without looking, but he claims it will be a serious handicap if I ever try to get a desk job. Who do you think is right?

I work for a preschool and I understand that there are times when one would be sent home early or something like that when they are low on kids but I am getting sent home alot. I am just wondering if an employer is required to pay their employees at least for 4 hours that day if they send them home early?

My Dad has a small business. He has an employee working for him who is mediocore at best.Today he heard this guy saying that company policies were "ridiculous and crazy" My Dad can be a bit hotheaded, and really cussed the guy out, but in private in his office. No one else heard it. (my Dad told me later what happened)The employee has tried to get bossy, even though he is not a manager, on a few occasions before, and today my dad finally just got sick of it.The employee also took it upon himself to delete things from the computer without asking last week. I stopped by the office at the end of the day..the guy was muttering something about suing for harassment or bullying as he was leaving. Is reprimanding an employee for poor attitude and performance bullying? What will happen if this guy talks to a lawyer? Should he get rid of this guy? Would an atty take the case? My Dad has had to yell at him before for differen t things. This guy is the first out the door every day.
