Just sitting in my office pondering is there anything worse than coming back to work after Christmas?

Time seems to be standing still and the thought of another choc is making me sick.

ok, so here's the deal.

I am in a supervisor, mangager type position and the longest running employee at the small business I work in. My boss, the owner, gives me 8 days a year paid vacation, but, the catch is that I can only take one day at a time and he prefers I only take them on fridays. Almost every time I try to schedule a day we have an argument about it.. On the other hand, other long running employees get 5 days paid vacation which they can take at any time and all in a row, plus they are allowed additional time off to take trips, go on cruises etc. One is allowed 3 whole weeks at christmas and new years. One other has missed 20 days in additon to her vacation.

These are people who get every saturday off and never help when others are absent, who never open or close the store. Why would my boss think they deserve the time off more than me?

I have so many more hours worked at the end of the year!!

I am confused!

Okay, here is the deal. If I don't get a job soon then I'm going to be homeless. No one will hire me do to a lack of experience and a poor past job record. There is nothing I can do to travel back in time and fix the mistakes I've made. I can only work with what I have now. So what do I do, since no one will hire me, and I need a job fast? I also need something to put on my resume for future employeers that will make my past mistakes not look so bad. Any suggestions at all?

The California Nurses' Association has helped the California nurses tremendously by supporting mandatory safe nurse to patient ratios. The result has been safter patient care and less nursing staff turnover. Now the CNA has begun organizing support in Texas for similar legislation. Would you support their efforts? www.calnurses.org

I am thinking about majoring in math and I read somewhere that the biggest employer of mathematicians is the NSA. I would like to learn more about working for them but does anyone know if you have to relocate to Washington D.C.? Or do they have other locations? What about working abroad...what the options for going overseas if you major in math, not necessarily with the NSA but just in general.

I just got a part time job, I haven't worked for the past couple of months because I was busy in college this last semester. I got a job because I was getting too depressed about not having any money. I have worked since I was 15, which is the past 5 years, I'm afraid going 3 months with out work has spoiled me. Spoiled me to the point that I don't want to work at all anymore and won't be happy with any job. I also have a fiance and with him working full time nights Mon-Thurs. and my school and this part time job I'm worried about hardly getting to see him. Plus the pay is only $8.00 an hour and I have to drive an hour to get there. (I live in a rural area and the job is in the city)

Long story short, I'm regretting my decision on taking the job, but I don't want to hurt my awesome job record by starting and quitting a new job so soon. I've only had 2 jobs since I was 15, working at one for 3 years and the other for 2. Do I have to report this job to future employers?

My boss is an absolute idiot. In fact, my office is a joke. But I make decent money and great benefits, so I really am undecided if i should lap it up or move on to something more challenging.
