Actually there are a couple of things that are worse;
1. Having to work through the holidays with full staff expectancy at a job where less than half the customers will even bother to call. Management, who often complain about the excessive wages insist on people coming in even though all they're going to be doing is watching disgusting porn videos thus infecting the computers with all kinds of ****, or they'll try to sneak a few smokes inside the building even though it's forbidden.
2. The second thing, and a lot more hazardous, would be having to be part of the American forces that are mindlessly invading Iraq. You won't get home for Christmas or any other holiday and chances are you'll probably be staying awake to make sure you're not the next one being sent home in a body bag.
Personally, I'd be glad to have Christmas off and at least have a job to come into to help pay off the massive bills incurred by materialistic relatives who feel that it's a brother's or sister's "obligation" to buy more expensive toys for them and their spoiled brat children. But, after 18 years I still don't have any real seniority at my job (working for an airline), I'll still be working every holiday for quite some time to come.
I love my job, but hate the materialistic values that the secular society is so addicted to. I often wonder if anyone knows the true meaning of Christmas anymore.

Sitting at your desk pondering if there is anything worse than coming back to work after Christmas.

First off, leave the chocolates alone and do desk exercises :-) Might as well put the time to good use and buff up LOL Just think you are one days pay ahead of paying your Christmas bills than everyone else lazing at home ;-)

Going off on a forced Christmas Break. I would much rather be IN work every single day.
The 5 hours I have been in work have flown by.

nothing worse than having a boss who does'nt understand family values by opening the 3 days after xmas 8-6. they obviously have not got a good family life and would rather be at work and make others come in aswell. very very very sad if you ask me.

I took the whole week off. I hope I am not putting off the inevitable. Things usually pick up in Jan so I take the two / three days in-between
