I've noticed that when having conversations with people about their job, they say the phrase, "It's good money." Being polite, I don't inquire how much they make, although I'm wondering what their idea of good money is.

It is different for everyone. Someone that does not want or need a lot of stuff might think that $10-15 is good money, while people that want to have nicer things think that $20 an hour is good money.

I've had the opposite. I tell people my job doesn't pay well and there like 'so you make about $30,000?' which is funny because I feel I would be rolling in money if I made that much. So it must vary quite a lot from person to person.

good money could mean a lot of things. it could be based on where you live, how you live (frugal, lavish life), etc. "Good money" in my area could mean anything from $60K on up. It means I live comfortably, Im able to pay all my bills and still have some left over for some shopping.

good money could mean my salary aint sh#t but at least I dont have to deal with the headache that usually comes with this job. so tjis is good money.

Good money means different things to different people. It depends on the cost of living where they are located, and their standard of living.

A good salary in West Virginia will be vastly different from a good salary in New York City.

To me, good money is 4 to 5 times minimum wage.

Good Money equates to a comfortable standard of living. Basically, they are not living pay check to pay check. They are able to save money, pay bills on time, and contribute to their retirement (hopefully).
