i know that you go to traditional dance studios in ballet, modern, cheer, tumble, gymnastics to get the background. usually you got to college and get selected for the cheer/dance team there. then after college you can try out for the professional teams.

the Laker girls probably have their own website, or a link on the lakers with that info. I know the bulls begin tryouts in feb-mar. They also require any candidate to be a well rounded person. You have to have some ambitions beyond being a lakergirl and live a responsible lifestyle. The interview process is pretty grueling and pales in comparison to a typical job interview. Dancing is only half of what it takes to dance for a team like the lakers.
