I worked for a company for a year and a half. Over the past 2 months they laid off 12 employees because business slowed down. I was nervous and began looking at new jobs. I found a good position and went through 2 interviews. They called me for a 3rd interview this next tuesday. Last Friday my boss called me in his office and let me go 2 weeks before Christmas with no really good reasons except we were slow and he thought I was looking for a new job. Should I go through the 3rd interview as if I still has my previous position and keep my mouth shut or should I tell the final interviewer that I was let go due to no work at my previous job?

Until I got on this job hunt I hadn't realised how cruel and manipulative people really are.
I went to several interviews and they go well, most of them they tell me "You're great/perfect for the job and will get in touch to make further arrangements to start working here" but they never do. They don't even have the decency to call to say they arent interested. But sometimes the rejections are more frustating as the reasons are always vague and can't be improved (I'm too young, I'm too old, i have too much degrees or qualifications! - yes someone told me that, and so on)
As anyone pass through this experiences, has I'm a newbie in the job-hunt experience and most of my friends are still finishing college I would really appreciate if anyone could give me any advice, suggestions or just tell me if they went through this hellish job hunting experience?

My sister and I just started talking to new people, and it seems like they are both playing games, and the same games at that(which is weird because they never met). The guy my sister is talking to rarely calls her, doesn't try to make time for her, when he comes to get her, it's at night. The girl I just stared talking to is the same way. I call her most of the time, and when I do she is either too busy, or she holds conversations with other people while she talks on the phone with me. She says she will call back and never calls. Both of these people approached me and my sister asking for a relationship,we didn't approach them. So, why are they playing games?

Most of the jobs I have gotten were through word of mouth and knowing who to talk to. Experience alone seems not enough. Those who know the head people seem to move up in position a lot faster to me. Do you agree or disagree?

I am in grade 12 right now and I will be graduating next year in june. I have no idea what I want to do. I am above average 80%ish kind of person but right now I am really confused. My dad is encouraging me to go for engineering because there is a lot of money (oil) in it in Canada but I dont really agree with him. I am really confused and I dont really know what to take in university or take some break and then go to university. Have you ever been in my position? How did you decide? I really dont want to go for some field and take a job and then regret later for rest of my life. Any advice will be appreciated, especially form adults. Thank you. And the most important thing is that I want to help poor in large sacle and I am not really buissness minded kind of person (sorry, but no kidding) and I really want to help poor people in any way. So can you please suggest which career pathway will be good for that.

I mean if I have what it takes and all. Any chance they would hire a petite girl, but one that's certified and not discriminate? And I already know that anything's possible, but let's be realistic too.

I work in call center and the employees each have their own cubicle, any way I have been sick for a while now with a bad cough, but missing work is not option, because of the kind of system we are on.(a point system, after 10 points you are let go, no questins asked) I am at 9! After the 1st of January I go down to 2. Back on track... There is this guy who has been staring at me and standing over me and generally making me uncomfortable and he was sitting kinda next to me, so I moved to the other side of the cubicle wall and he sat in front of me!! He was not bothering me so I let it go. Then last night as I was just about to get off work I started coughing(and bad) He stands up says, "I am trying to help customers" the conotation being for me to quit. This infurated me to the point I really wanted tell him to kiss my a**. I didn't do this but have been mad ever since. Did he have a right to do this and I am I being to sensitive or did he really cross the line? What would you do?

Im 16, and a well manored, well behaved and hardworking guy.

My problem is that my parents, more specifically my Mom and my Stepdad treat me like crap. I am treated like the worst child in the world, i have recently got into the best college in the country (UK) and always attend college/work hard. They are so strict, with stupid insignificant things, which mount up.

they have no issue with me getting drunk and staying out as late as i want (they go to bed without a care for where i am) which i guess is cool, but on the other hand they are completely anal about stupid things, such as waste. My stepdad has a good job (polic officer) with lots of money, however he still insists on routinely patrolling the house to ensure that i am not "wasting his money".

Examples of his rules:
No Tv when computer is switched on,
No Coat in the house,
The computer cannot be left on by the mains,
I cannot use the phone to call mobiles,

It seems stupid but it all adds up, making homelife terrible

there is this older guy at work who has two faces,he is so nice and he is always making jokes to make people laugh but behind their backs he tries to stab them,i got this new position at work a month ago,and the person who was supposed tp train me was busy in her new position,so i didnt have much to do,and everytime he came into the office he saw me not doing anything,so he wrote an email to all the managers about "unproductive wasteful people who should be gotten rid of",and he knows that i am supposed to read my co workers' email cuz i get important info in there,so he knew that i would catch that email, last week he tried to blame me for some mistake that some1 else did,he wrote an email again to all the managers saying that "the person in charge might not have communicated the changes to everyone so thats why they made a mistake",he has a much higher position in the company, and earn a lot more,i guess that he doesnt want me there cuz he has some1 else in mind to fill in the position

Jews control over 80% of america's economy. Do white people have it all wrong? Would it be better for whites to become fake jews and adopt jewish sounding last names learn a few hebrew words and celebrate hanukah to break into the jewish monopolies.

After all Jews are notorious for changing their last names to sound american. Is this fair game?
