I mean if I have what it takes and all. Any chance they would hire a petite girl, but one that's certified and not discriminate? And I already know that anything's possible, but let's be realistic too.

If you go in and you prove your knowledge, you would probably get hired over a guy. It would be a nice novelty to have a woman in the shop that knows her stuff.

Ya know, if you are that determined to be what you want to be, you're not gonna WANT to work for someone else. Get your own business going!!! Why would you want some dude paying you a portion of his profits when you can have the 100% after taxes and expenses??? Think big. Reach for the stars and then go after them.

It could, and would, happen. First thing you need to do (other than become an actual mechanic) is get off that "I'm a girl, what will happen" attitude. If you're a good mechanic, then you're a good mechanic. If you suck, then you suck. Don't bring attention to something like that and then say "but you're not supposed to notice it"!

I would, because mechanics are the most sexist skilled trades people out there. Everyone knows that they rip off women "because they know nothing about cars." But if you worked for a mechanic, you would make him and yourself lots of money, because women and men would hope and trust that you do a good job.

Open your own business.

yes. make sure you know what you're doing and are able to do what the male mechanics can (example: lifting heavy objects). There should be nothing you have to ask someone else to do for you. It's very realistic.
