I worked for a company for a year and a half. Over the past 2 months they laid off 12 employees because business slowed down. I was nervous and began looking at new jobs. I found a good position and went through 2 interviews. They called me for a 3rd interview this next tuesday. Last Friday my boss called me in his office and let me go 2 weeks before Christmas with no really good reasons except we were slow and he thought I was looking for a new job. Should I go through the 3rd interview as if I still has my previous position and keep my mouth shut or should I tell the final interviewer that I was let go due to no work at my previous job?

Keep your mouth shut, it can only do harm to talk, no good can come from it. if you get offered the position, tell them you wil give 2 twweks notice to your current employer and will be able to start the following week. the two week sacrafice (or vacation depending on your financial situation) will be worth it rather than have to start from scratch with a possible longer period of unemployment.

the merchandising field is extremely aggressive and, in maximum business enterprise environments is somewhat decrease-throat. With that throughout concepts...in case you're fired, you will not get a very good advice from the enterprise, yet you could assemble unemployment until you hit upon some thing else. in case you end, you will not get a very good advice from the enterprise and wouldn't have any funds until you hit upon some thing else. bear in concepts once you're taking a job that: one million) It takes 6 months to a 365 days to "slot in" with the corporate subculture you enter; 2) you will not get carry of a brilliant number of coaching, guidance, and so on. The corporation will assume you to appreciate what to do and could criticize you once you do not; 3) purely make specific you're consistently networking and construction relationships with different businesses so as that your face and contact are recognised 4) on no account artwork for loose -- It instruments a bad priority and a enterprise would be greater in all likelihood to take income of you.

say nothing, dont lie if asked but if the new employer thinks you are working you have a better chance of a better offer, if he asks why you want to leave your other job say its not that i want to leave I just see more promise of a career with your company(all true)
