I've been away from work due to sickness for several months.I was receiving SSP pay.Recently no SSP pay had been credited into my account. When contacting the company where I work they insisted that there had been a mistake and that the money off all weeks lost would be submitted into my account the following week, around 5 weeks missed SSP.when checking my bank account again no money had been issued to me.I decided to contact head office of the company I work for and they found out that my SSP had infact expired and the SSP1 form from my employer to claim Income support & Incapacity benefit had not been sent out on time.It was infact sent around 5 weeks late! I wasnt informed in any way whatsoever that the SSP pay was coming to an end.Now I have been told that the Incapacity Benefit can be backdated but the Income support cannot be.This is my employers fault.Does anybody know what can be done about this?I will have lost 5 weeks income support dut to this. Serious A's only please. Thanks

I work as a cashier, and the other night I know I put 400 dollars in the safe and my manager is telling me I didn't put it there, I know I did! What are my rights, I feel like I don't have a chance against her. So I have to pay something back someone else took?

I may sound very unkind and maybe I am but I work at a custome service over the phone and people can get very rude sometimes, as you don't see them, how do you do to keep calm?

The owner of the company is a Scientologist. He promoted his executive officers only if they are Scientologists. If a employee is not a Scientologist, he may not be promoted to top executive position. Is this legal?

I am about to put in my resignation at my job. I will be giving my employer 6 weeks notice and my last day will be January 2, 2007.

1. I have profit sharing which pays out on March 31st 2007 for company profits from Jan 1 06 to Dec 31 06. No where in the profit sharing plan does it have to say that i am employed from jan - march to get paid. If i quit after the full year am i legally entitled to get paid.

2. If i have commission coming in on a sales contract that has been signed by a customer but they will not be paying the amount of the contract due until 4 weeks after i quit, will i still be eligible for that commission if the contract was executed before i left?

Thanks for your help.

I've been looking for a job and found this job at a site...ok to the details of this worl. This guy lives in the UK...an artist. He sells paintings to the US and wants a representative (me) to collect the money that is sent in my name. I would deposit it in my bank, deduct 10% for myself, and send the rest back to him through Western Union. Sounds cool but what do you guys think? I had to fill out an employment form also through email but it does sound a bit fishy to me. Maybe I eat tooo much fish.

I'm 19 and in college but still living at home. I don't want to work in sales or anything that involves handling money. And definately not fast food. I would prefer a part time job. I'm not too concerned about how much I make, but I want to get some meaningful job experence. I love kids and being around people, but I'm still a little shy so something that does not involve too much interacting with large groups of people would be better. The only current job experience I have is working with a developmentally disabled person in his home, caring for him, taking him places, that sort of stuff. I still do it during the summers but I need a job for the rest of the year.

The local uni is stopping the course after this years intakes so I really need them to choose me. I am on the 'preparation to nursing and midwifery course' at the moment. I am in my second year and have gained a level 2 (GCSE) in 'health studies' and a level 3 (A LEVEL) in Physiology. I am doing two more level 2's and another level 3 this year all of which are health related. At school I got 7 GCSE's at C or above. I have applied to my local hospital for voluntary work but the man who deals with the applications has left and somebody new is taking over later this month.

Getting a place on the course would mean soooo much to me. Any suggestions what else I can do to make me stand out (serious replies please)
