25 is definitely not too late. Even though government funding has run out, access to an electrical qualification hasnt. Your best option is to enrol on a college course (The City and Guilds 2330 Electrotechnical certificate) and also apply as a job as an electrical labourer. You will be working alongside an electrician and attending college either 1 day or 1 evening a week. By doing this you will be gaining academic as well as practical experience. The rate of pay for electrical labourers is also quite good (see http://www.jib.org.uk/ops0507.htm for pay rates). This path will take approx 2-3 yrs to complete. I also advise that you get your NVQ level 3 (To be JIB approved....this means better money, prospects and you wont be refused access to any worksites). This involves paying a fee off 200-500 quid. You get an NVQ logbook - like a diary, as well as visits off a training officer to assess you. This can be done while learning on site from whenever you start the job, so it wont hinder your qualifying....Hope this answers your question fully!

Go for it. I am desperate for a electrician and all are very busy. You apprenticeship time will not be the best paid but oh boy you can reap your rewards when qualified. The electrician I know said they were not getting many younger people training because of the trend for them towards heading for IT jobs. In future there will be a shortage of electricians so your work is almost guaranteed. GOOD LUCK. xx

Those are only Youth Training Schemes, there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to get a private apprenticeship with someone. If you really want to get onto one of the 16-24 course you can try to persuade them, it's only a year, so just don't take no for an answer. Remember, if you don't ask you don't get!

My son started exhibiting some activity interior the potty while he turn into around sixteen months. So we offered the potty seat, and started sitting him on it while he needed. lots of the time he does no longer flow, yet each great on occasion he could. So we could make an excellent deal out of it while he did. He'd flow in spells regardless of the undeniable fact that, for some weeks or a month he does no longer take a seat on the potty. So we could calm down on the potty education for a together as, and only ask him on occasion if he needed to flow. Now at 2-a million/2 he is going on the potty lots of the time. He nonetheless would not oftentimes let us know while he needs to flow, yet while we you need to take him he will flow. From what i've got viewed with my son and my acquaintances' boys, it form of appears like 2-a million/2 is the age while they actually start to *get it.*

Age is not a disqualification for employment. It sounds like someone is discouraging you. I started my apprenticeship at 30, and have been a licensed plumber for 26 years, it was worth every minute. Many people will be negative toward you, don't let them win.
