I really want to move up with the company i work for.

Pay a professional resume/cover letter writing company to do it.
Make sure you know ever word of what it says before you go to your interview though.

Highlight your professional interest in that department and your knowledge of the company. Speak to someone within the department if you can and look at the job description. Add any times that you have done extra work at your present company that fits into this area, or if you are going for a promotion times that you have made management decisions etc for your boss.
