Which , if any of these, require a a drug test of newly hired servers? Just wondering... I believe it's a violation of my rights to privacy.

All of them do, and it is done to protect not only the company, but yourself and your customers as well. You don't have to agree to a drug test, but if you do not you will be admitting you most likely have something to hide, and your career will be short....clean out if you need to, take the test, and be SURE you don't give management any reason to question whether you need to be retested at random intervals.

I am uncertain which one of these restaurants do a drug screen, although it is just about standard procedure for any employer to do this. They are looking for marijuana, cocaine, and meth, to name a few. You fail a drug screen, you dont get hired. There are many ways to avoid failing a drug screen. First, don't do any illegal drugs. Second, if you do, there are ways to "hide" these things prior going to a drug screen. I have heard of different methods, one I heard was gold tea (not certain where you get that or what it is). You also dont want to eat any thing that has poppy seeds....they will show up as a drug in your urine. Again, you may want to ask around to see what things you can utilize to cover up the illegal drugs in your system. Personally, I would be more scared of getting caught my the legal authorities than anything. Additionally, if you do pass a drug screen and do get a job, if you get hurt on the job or something happens that you were involved in, it's generally an automatic drug screen (post accident). If it is found you have drugs in your system (and you got hurt on the job), first, you are automatically terminated, second, workers comp may not cover your claim, no matter how bad you got hurt - up to and including you falling over a knife that was dropped on the floor accidently by a cook and your head gets chopped off!! It probably has happend...I know it's the extreme. Just be very careful! I wish you well!!!

All major resturant chains usually do drug testing and some do periodic testing to follow it.
And the Supreme Court has deemed company drug tests are not a violation of your rights.

How do you feel about cooks and servers having communicable diseases in a restaurant where you eat???????
Or, a meat cutter, slicing lunch meat for you?
What happened to the customer's rights???
I worked in a meat market once. Blood tests twice a year.
OH! We don't want to violate the rights of users and disease carriers, do we? Geeessh!
Go dig graves! You can't contaminate the dead.

If I had an applicant for employment that dealt with food or public safety express concerns about a drug test they would not become an employee.
