I am in my first job out of college. I sell copiers and printers at an office technology company. I get a base of 24,000 a year and I sell to the church/school market. It is hard to set my gross profit high becuase they are churches/schools. It is almost impossible to reach my monthly quota of gross profit and a good commisiion check will be $700 but its hard to sell more than even one machine every two months. I know they like me at the company but I think that other companies that have reps in this market give them a much higher base becuase they know that there is little gross profit in this market. I am guessing other companies have a different compensation structure.

If I haven't been offered the position yet (but think there's a good chance I will), should I bring this up before or after I actually start working? I have already made travel arrangements, so postponing my trip is not an option. Thanks for the advice.

He would not check my work. But when something wrong, he'll put the blame on you. I have worked for years and he has not even bothered to look what i am doing in the office and how i struggle to get puzzles solved. I know i am wasting my time here but I couldn't get other jobs! I am just an executive and I am doing more than i should.

I'm considering it, because I saw an advertisement on a newspaper, offering a free class to be a CNA.

I was thinking of getting an education in, and then working part time as, a medical transcriptionist. I am a master's degree level full-time mom, and would like to supplement our income by working a little bit at home. Can someone please tell me how much pay medical transcriptionists get paid, on average? Thanks

Okay so I am going to school to be a Radiologic Technician...I need answers from people who have actually done this. I graduated in 2002 and have been working as a hairstylist since I finished beauty school so I don't know what all I need to do...the GPA I am looking at having to acquire to graduate for the course, and I need to know a few good schools in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex I can check into. Any info you can give me, I can take.

I recently received a big promotion, and joined the ranks of 'middle management". The problem is, everyone is telling me to go celebrate, but I can't figure out how. So far, suggestions from friends and coworkers include - a new car (german, supposedly), a plasma tv, new suites, a fancy watch, golf clubs, etc. I am not sure if I actually NEED any of these; I am a low maintanence nerdy guy - i like my honda, my old tv, my cheap clubs that I use to play at cheap golf courses, my timex watch that never fails me. How important is it to "look" the part? Is it enough that I am obvioulsy doing a good job, or should I splurge so that I can fit the stereotype? Is there a downside to not playing along?
