Be old enough.
Be good looking, or just not plain ugly. :) sometimes the guys and girls aren't choosey.
Go to a um.. gentlemans club.
Ask for a job.
If that fails, get someone (MALE OR VERY STRONG FEMALE) whos willing to be security for you DON'T DO THIS ALONE.. and put in a newspaper ad for bachelor parties, and work for yourself.

I'll let you in on a few secrets: depending on where you live, Eastern European competiton will put you out of a job before youve even got one.
If you're already trained up and know how to dance, ask around at some local clubs. If you don't know how and want to learn, try googling "lap dancing lessons
To be honest though, dancing is an incredibly difficult and short lived career. You will be over worked, under paid, and propositioned by people (men and women) that you wouldnt look twice at in the street and for good reason.
Unless youve been dancing since you were four, you probably arent flexible enough to pole, or lapdance.
Though it might seems sexy and romantic, the novelty will wear off really quickly and you'll suddenly want an office job. Jump the gun and go for something less taxing as a day job then take up dancing part time if youre still interested.

Go to a "gentlemen's club" (yeah, I know there is nothing gentlemenly about 'em....but it sounds nicer than saying
t-itty bar.)
Anyway, ask to speak to the manager. Go to his office and make sure you have a little privacy. I'm sure he'll tell you all you need to do to become a lapdancer. Make sure to take some knee pads with you.

funnily enough a night club in south wales where i live are looking for lap dancers now or was it pole dancers, cant remember but i suggest you go to a few clubs and ask them for a try out and if you dont make the grade ask what you need to do to succeed.
