I temp and an agency rang me with a job for next week yesterday. I still have not had the reporting details and each time I ring, they say they're on their way. How much longer do I wait? I can't believe that something like this could take so long. If you've any knowledge about agencies, please let me know. Thanks.

i sent my resume in a few weeks ago via email, and the employer immediately replied saying the position was filled. however she called monday and asked me to call her back. i didn't receive the message until tuesday, so i called and left a voicemail saying i was returning her call and asked her to call me back at her convenience. it's now friday and she has not called back yet. do i call again? i was thinking of leaving my cell phone number for her to reach me faster. i don't want ot seem overzealous though.

I work a confined space with very poor ventilation with another woman who favours the "more is more" approach to perfume application. It really got to me and I summoned up the courage to address the matter with her some months ago. She was a bit put out (I was mortified also) but I said it all quite diplomatically I hope and the problem ceased. She even said for ages afterwards that she was glad I felt able to approach her and thankfully there was no bad atmosphere between us. Now 3 months later, she's at it again - I think she must use half the bottle each time. It gives me a headache and I really find it sickening. I don't wear perfume myself at work usually, as even my own overpowers me during the day. There is no window that I can open. How on earth do I approach this one AGAIN? I feel really angry with her now, as she must be aware of what she's doing. BTW, I suffer with sinus trouble, prone to bronchitis and coughs so the air quality really affects me. Help much needed!!

I have just been offered a job, handed in my notice and saying I will work unitl the 31st and my boss has told me I have to work til the end of the month. Can he really hold me to this and if I walk out and don't come back, will I get paid for the last 3 weeks??

I'm working temporary at a hospital at the moment (a short term booking) and he could see I was in pain (I just have a personal problem that he knows nothing of - he probably could see I was uncomfortable). I didn't even ask him to give me an opinion, in fact, I didn't speak to him and he came out with, "What you need is a good orgasm - they're brilliant for pain". Should I tell someone in authority or just pass it off, as I'm not here that long?

I have been applying for jobs for several months and been to some interviews. All those that I am applying are just junior entry positions, but a response from some of them is that your criteria does not match because you don't have much hands on experience, and the firms do not want to train you if they don't have to. I mean, I have been through college and is now studying under a designated accounting professional program, and saying my qualification doesn't match is just so discouraging. What do I study all these years for? And those are just junior position, bascially data entrying and repetitive tasks, and they are demanding experience? Like its not going to take long to know how to enter an amount on the invoice into the computer. Those who have the experience won't even be applying for these entry level jobs. What do these employers want anyways?

Before I went on vacation I was told my scedule would change when I got back but would not affect my hours or pay. I went on vacation and came bk, worked one day and asked them when my scedule would change...my superviser said next week. came in to work the next day and found out they changed my scedule while on vacation and sent me home saying that day was now my day off and it was switch around and taken care off. I asked them several times to make sure. Then I get my check and find that they screwed me out of those 8 hrs. So my check was 8 hrs short. When I went to talk to my sup she said it was my fault, not want ting to take them blame she said I took too much vacation...I tried to explain to her the situation. I went above her and they said it was her fault and they are not responsable for that. I am sick of her not doing her job so I get shorted. She should of taken care of this scedule thing. Three times my checks have been shorted and among other carless things. What can I do?

ive got a interview next tuesday and im really nervous and think ill be shy when im there. its for a retail position so i need to show i have confidence, but im so nervous!!!!!!!!
